I purchased this inverter to use in my semi truck based on other reviews. I have to say this was a fantastic purchase. It was very easy to install and the remote push button helps with turning it on and off when I'm leaving the truck. I use it to run my microwave, laptop, and tv. I can run all of these at once and not use more than 1500 watts. It works so good that I burnt my first bag of popcorn in the microwave. Mostly because my previous inverter was much smaller and not a pure sine, so it would take almost 4 minutes, now less than 3 minutes in a 700 watt microwave. So in essence I'm very pleased with this inverter. I even bought a nuwave hot plate so I could start doing some cooking in the truck, but I haven't had time to try it out yet. My only complaint is that when it does kick on the fans it's usually at night, early mornings, and it wakes me up because of the noise level. It's not super loud, but loud enough that it's an irregular sound. It also doesn't help that my company dictates where it was installed, which is under my bed about two feet below my head. If you have the option to mount elsewhere I don't see the noise being an issue. Also, it only runs for maybe 10-15 minutes. It's a little bigger than I was expecting, but it's also the first 3k watt that I've owned. It's very well built with a hard exterior design and it just looks awesome in my opinion, because it's not a dull black shell. I run a 10 foot extension cord with multiple outlets to a single plug on the inverter and it handles with ease. ... show more

I like this inverter cause it’s quiet and light weight for being a 3000 w! I like the fact that it has 2 fans to keep it from overheating! I use it on my semi truck and works great for microwave, coffee maker and a small fridge!

Very high quality build. Very reliable. It's very asthetically well designed. Great price for the power. I love the physical remote switch cable so that you can turn it on/off easily without having to physically access the inverter. I travel a lot for work, driving a van. This has enough wattage to fulfill all my remote travel needs while on the road, plus with pure sine wave it is safe for even sensitive electronics. Bolts easily into place. Easy to use. I use this to charge battery packs on my power tools, run a small refrigerator or a small heater in my tractor trailer. Works great no problems at all. The only thing I can say that someone may not like is it can be a little noisy when the cooling fans kick on to cool it. I designed a solar power system for a maintenance shed at our model airfield located in a state park where we have no electricity. I used four large storage batteries and needed a pure sine wave power inverter to provide clean 110 v. AC for operating power tools and for charging model airplane batteries. I needed a remote on/off feature, and this model had precisely what I needed. The unit has been installed for two weeks and used several times. Most recently, it powered a construction air compressor and ran a hand grinder for 6 + hours. It did not even get warm and provided power to spare. This is the third power inverter I've purchased over the past 8 or 9 years and it is the best one by far. The one thing that could be improved is the digital display. I could be brighter so it would be easier to read. Overall, this is perfect for my application, and the price point is competitive. For my money, this gets 5 STARS! ... show more

This 3000 inverter has 2 very important fans. A must have. After several attempts, off and on, one fan failed to turn on. It also made a repetitive sound, like struggling to run. It was returned to Amazon as defective. I did call Amazon to inquire about the percentage of negative/positive reviews and returned rate. I ask if the ratings were true. This 3000 unit does have impressive ratings and since the solar project components on the RV are already wired and space is set for this one, I chanced it and reordered a replacement rather than configuring a new setup. Hopefully it was a one time, fluke issue and the new one coming tomorrow will run like a breeze! Once it's connected and tested, I'll review the new one. I am truly hoping it will be a good choice. Update: We are so pleased with the replacement!! Both fans worked immediately, running 2000 wouldn't any issues. The 3000 watt inverter did not heat up at all. Definitely low noice dp. It rated very high on the reviews and we see the first one as a defective item, not reflecting on the name. We are truly happy with this 3000 inverter. Glad we chanced it and reordered it.
