I bought this product a year ago, and I ran it non-stop 24/7 in my basement up until it died today. I would say this is worth the money for how long it lasted with 24/7 operation for a year. My basement isn't wet, but I live very close to a great lake and a river in NY state, so in the summer time, the humidity in general is high. Even in the Fall we get a lot of rain, and there's a great deal of moisture in the air. This drastically reduced the humidity level in the basement. Every 2-3 days I emptied a full reservoir. I don't know if it would be suitable in a hot humid climate such as FL, but under my conditions, it worked well. I recommend this product.

This product maybe small but works amazing. I had a leak from upstairs in the wall going into the basement and this product helped to pull all of the water out. What I like the most-when the container is full it powers off. No spills and no wasted energy.

It works like it should but I don't think it is for a 2000 square feet area like it says. I have it between my living room & kitchen & I dump it 2-3 times per day. Easy to move around since it has wheels. Very quiet & able to set on desired humidity setting. I would say works best for one large room or maybe 2 small rooms but it is definitely pulling moisture from the air!

But the one thing that annoys me is the does not stay on it well. The magnet should be stronger. It falls off every time I turn the dehumidifier or pick it up. Not nice.

Does the work in small space

I have this in my 280 SQ ft RV. Now to be fair, I am close to Houston, Tx, which is at the moment, 100% humidity outside. However, with the dehumidifier AND my 13,500 BTU RV a/c running, I can temporarily get the inside down to 55% humidity. When the RV a/c shuts off, the humidity immediately starts to climb with just the dehumidifier running. Like it will quickly get up to 69% humidity with the a/c only shutting off for like 20 minutes between cycles. Now I know that RVs are sealed up as tight as a home, so it's to be expected to a degree, but this dehumidifier is supposed to be rated for an area almost 10 times the size of my RV. The only way I can see that being realistic is if this dehumidifier was in a very new, 100% sealed, energy star home with zero leaks. I personally would not use this dehumidifier for an area larger than 500 SQ ft max. If it is very humid in this location, like 100% humidity outside, I think I would limit it's size to a 250 SQ ft room. Also in this environment in my RV, the tank fills up in about 8 hours and then it shuts off. So I have to empty it about 3 times a day.

Bought this for our basement bedroom/work out room. The dehumidifier works great but the doesn't hold a lot of the water, so be prepared to empty the container severals times throughout the day. Now we ARE in the south, so maybe not as often if the humidity isn't as bad.
