This watch seems to be made for me! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new watch. I currently own one Citizen Eco drive watch that I wear daily and years later it still looks like new and is still ticking. I wanted another one a bit more sportier to wear during the day to trade off. I will only consider Citizen Eco Drives now. They are reliable and charge with any kind of light. I saved up and for a milestone birthday gift to myself, I saw this watch and decided to purchase it. The watch is larger, heavier, and easy to read. I am 6ft tall, so I don't like the dainty faced watches. I do like to wear my watches looser but this one is heavy and tends to shift to the side if too loose. I wasn't sure about the band until I saw it. It is sturdy and comfortable. Can I say the packaging for this watch probably costs more than some other watches? It it sooo clever. Sturdy black box, and the divers tank is precious. I don't dive nor do water sports, but the color, size, style were just perfect. Bonus: The glow-in-the-dark really holds its own. I had it near my candle warmer light (off to the side so it wouldn't melt but just enough to pick up some light). 5 hours later in the middle of the night I woke up and it was still glowing strong! Not just the hands but also the number markers. Setting the watch: No directions, such a bummer. So off to the internet to search. I would say for a quality watch at this cost, directions should be included. I could not get the pin to pull out to set it. I thought it was broken. Then I read online that you need to turn it counter clockwise to loosen it enough to pull it out. One click for the date and 2 clicks for the time. I guess this now makes sense since it is a waterproof diving watch, but I would not have known. Hopefully this hint helps others. I read the outer ring turns for divers to keep track of their air supply. Clever. If you have small wrists, this may not be the watch for you. If you keep going back to look at this gorgeous (or if you are a guy, a way cool looking watch), take the chance. It is an "investment" that will last and bring a smile to your face. ... show more

I’ve had this watch for a little over a month now, and it’s easily become my most worn watch by far. About 20 minutes after I got it, I pulled off the rubber straps and swapped in a NATO strap from my Seiko SRPG. The stock rubber strap is comfortable, but it’s pretty thick. Because of that, it doesn’t conform to your wrist right out of the box and tends to hold the watch slightly off-center. I don’t think that’s a flaw, but it’s definitely something to be aware of if you plan on sticking with the original strap, it’ll probably just take some time to break in. Performance-wise, the lume is amazing, and the screw-down crown gives me confidence I’m not going to rip it off in dense brush or when it inevitably gets caught while putting on a heavy backpack. I’ve worn this watch fishing, riding trails, and even out to the bar and it works for just about any occasion. Be aware: This watch is big and feels all of the 44mm. It is also a pretty flashy watch so it will draw attention. After a month, I do have a couple minor complaints. The second hand doesn’t line up perfectly with the markers between about 4–9 seconds, and the bezel has a tiny bit of play. All in all, I love this watch and would highly recommend it. ... show more

Writing this after several months of ownership and daily wear. This is an outstanding watch by any measure. The Eco-Drive technology functions flawlessly and, of the 20 or so watches I own (Tags, Omegas, Jack Mason, etc. … many of which are automatics so the comparison isn’t completely fair), this is the most accurate. The only watch the that comes close is my venerable 20-year-old quartz Tag Professional. The ONLY change I would make is to slightly enlarge the size of the date window; it’s a tad small and can occasionally be hard to read. With that caveat, I recommend the Citizen Promaster Dive Eco-Drive unhesitatingly. ... show more

Other reviews are correct that the band is stiff, but it breaks in okay. Seems hefty, durable, and good looking for the price. Comes across as a much better watch than $230. Great outdoor summer watch for beach and BBQ. I won’t be using it for work or dress occasions.

The watch arrived earlier than expected, I think it is in proper working conditions; but it came in a plastic bag without any kind of foam protection, no box no papers, just the watch bumping from side to side in a cardboard box. It didn't include any of the accessories shown in the images. Maybe it's a returned product. Who knows. That's why I give it just 3 star rating. ... show more

I have been checking this watch out for awhile but held back because I felt it should have a 22mm band instead of the 20. I finally decided I was being too picky so I pulled the trigger and I am glad I did. The second hand lines up perfectly and so does the bezel. It is very comfortable on my wrist and it is the perfect size for me. The 20mm band looks perfect so no complaint there, except the polyurethane band is not comfortable so I changed it out. I actually ordered this replacement band with the watch. I read the reviews about the band and I never have had a polyurethane band that was comfortable. Even though I replaced the band it still gets 5 stars because what can I tell you, This watch Rocks! ... show more

I bought the all black version of this very same model about a year ago, and it is still working great. However, I've always like the "Pepsi" design, so I went ahead and bought this one as well. These are well built watches, and you get a sense of that when you actually hold it and put it on your wrist. The Eco-Drive movement is just fantastic. Between the Quartz movement and using ambient light to charge the watch is just fantastic. When the Eco-Drive is fully charged, it will last and continue to run for 6 months in complete darkness, so that should give you so peace of mind. This isn't something you have to worry about charging on a regular basis - Citizen has good technology built into their Eco-Drives. I've always liked the looks of Diver watches, and this one doesn't disappoint. The fact that this is also an ISO certified Divers Watch means that you're getting something that is proven to take all that recreational divers can throw at it if you're into that. The display looks crisp and clean through the mineral glass. It wears well on the wrist (and mine isn't particularly big), and the strap can be swapped out for something else but it works well enough (you will need some 'breaking-in' time with it). ... show more
