For the most part this is functional and looks durable. The most likely thing to break first are the valve tabs. The tabs are plastic. The shortness of the tabs makes them a little stiff to operate. The tabs also close to the neck, so much so that it is easy to nick a knuckle when opening the spigot. The ball valve contained inside is small and restrictive of the water flow even when fully open. The result is reduced water flow and lower pressure for hose end sprayers. Why something as simple as this can't be made durable and fully functional is beyond me. ... show more

My outside faucet has a pressured, backflow preventer. When I turn off the water, my patio and I get sprayed and drenched. I ordered this Y connector from Amazon… and. 10 foot hose to connect to one end of the Y connector. As I almost turn off my garden hose, I open the connection to the other hose. The pressured water quickly drenches and waters the lawn off to the side of the patio. I learned how to do this on YouTube.
