Wow, this case has to be the best iPhone case I’ve ever had! I’ve been through cases on my older iPhone 6s and when it cracked it was time for a new phone. I didn’t want my new phone to crack or the case to be a beefy tank barley to fit in my pockets. I’ve trusted otter box with past phones but have also thought it needed to be a bit thinner. When I got my phone a year ago I got this case and man do I love this case. I’ve dropped my phone numerous times from hand held texting to head height (5’<). Never once has my phone had a dent, scratch, or crack in it. It’s a little slippery on very dry hands, but on moisturized hands it sticks. The rubber on the front face makes it able to stick onto tables and I can grip it with my hands. I do use a screen protectors too and after a year I haven’t changed it yet. This case makes it fit in my pocket with ease and is not bulky as well, if you’re looking for a minimal, non bulky, protective case this is the one for you. This will last you most likely your entire phone’s life span and I can say it’s lasted well over a year since I purchased this case. Thanks otter box for making quality for the people. The affordable price for the case makes it a easy pick up, not to pay hundreds of dollars and just spend something under $50. Needless to say, buy this case. 6+ stars ... show more

I live and die by the Otterbox Symmetry line. From an LG G3 to Samsung Galaxy Note 5, this line up had been my go to. For the sake of my brand new Iphone XS, this was the best option. If you want a neutral look that's not too bulky, the Symmetry line by Otterbox will fit your bill. The soft silicone gel that lines up the inner part of the case is durable and slight flexible. Best of all, its impervious to scratching up your phone, and those of you who especially have glass back phones this should be a preference automatically. The hard outer shell retains great shape and helps with bangs and drops. You'll also appreciate the raised grip lifted from the same silicone material. Best of all, wireless charging will still work. I will sound bias about my preference to Otterbox, but being a user of the brand for more than 6 years I guarantee my life on it. In short, if I were a phone, I'd depend my life on a Otterbox Symmetry case that was fit for me. ... show more

I own two Otterbox Symmetry cases: an All Black one and the Fine Port (Cordovan/Slate Grey). I've had the latter for over a year and the case is still in perfect condition. The back doesn't even have any scratches. These cases are outstanding. To be honest, I also own an Otterbox Figura Blue case, which is nice but the back of the case doesn't seem to be sturdy enough to prevent the back of my iPhone X phone from cracking. However, I'm torn between my Otterbox Symmetry cases and my beloved Pitaka Magcase Pro. The Symmetry is nice and sleek and provides excellent protection but the Magcase Pro offers almost the same protection if not more because a few little features added on the Magcase Pro; corners are reinforced and the back of the corners have little edges that lift the phone up from the surface it's on. ... show more

It feels good in the hand, its a quality product, very tight fit, but its definitely not drop proof, if your phone takes a hard fall your going to break the back glass. There is no pad on the inside like the defender series, so its hard plastic on glass with no rubber or foam to absorb impact, and virtually no raised edge to protect the screen whatsoever. The small amount of silicone around the edge provides good grip, and the buttons feel great, very thin and easy to put in your pocket. I really like this case a lot, but it does not offer much in the ways of protection. Dont buy the defender series for iphone x, it is not good, very robust protection but poor build quality makes it look and feel cheap. ... show more

Yes, it is true that this plastic will turn yellow if it is clear, and it will scratch. That's just what plastic is. I bought black and I'm very happy with it. The old Symmetry was like a plastic version of Otterbox's steel cases. It was heavy and slippery to hold, but very shock absorbent. I dropped it many times and my phone is unscathed. The new version is slimmer and gripper. While it might be less shock absorbent, it really lets me experience the iPhone's slim profile instead of holding it in a beefy case. I've had my phone for three years now, and with a battery change it will be as good as new. The iPhone X and subsequent iPhones are so good that they needn't be upgraded until they become obsolete, whenever that may be, so it's important to protect them in a good case unless you feel like spending $1,000 again. ... show more
