This is a great product that does its job nicely. I built a koi pond filtration system with four 55 gallon drums in sequence with moving K3 bio media. I was able to push through PVC piping (make sure you get the right size hole drill) with no difficulty. I take credit for this because I grinded a bevel to the end of each pipe. To make it slippery and much easier to push through, I added soapy water on the rubber fitting and the beveled end of each pipe. It worked great. I was making rain barrels and needed a way to connect the barrels together. I used 1.5" PVC pipe after cutting a hole into the side of a barrel (I purchase used pickle barrels to collect the rain). At first, I tried several methods to seal the hole around the pipes, but nothing work. I purchased these rubber seals. They worked great. I did add silicone around them just to insure no leaking, but I probably didn't really need to. The pipe, once inserted into the seal, caused the seal to press against the barrel side enough to create a tight fit, but my OCD kicked in so I added the silicone caulk. For my use, these were great. I did have to return the 2" version but immediately bought the 1.5" version. Worked like a charm. ... show more

Took off a star for no instructions at all. Just so you know for the 2 inch version you will need a 3 inch hole saw. Everyone says just use the correct size but never mentions what that was for the ones they got. No leaks on 5 gallon buckets.

Works great use Dawn dish soap and topper the ends of the pipe . Wiggle it around with lots of fire to get the pipe in . But works great !

I bought these because they were cheap and thought they would all work the same. All of mine leaked water. Even with silicone they were still dripping. Went with a more expensive brand installed and not one drip
