It doesn't require any electric button pressing or connection to a plug, so that's great. I tried 2 different electric pumps that were just horrible. The water came out like a trickle. Took forever to fill a 16 Oz glass. Your manual pump is fast and I love the way it seals on top of the jugs. The others just sat on top. No way to affix them to the jug. That IMO is ridiculous. Sometimes there's a bit of water left in the spout, and it'll fall out unexpectedly. I had to wrap my carboys' necks with duct tape to thicken them enough for this to get a seal. Once or twice the bottom half of the "straw" has detached, and I've had to pour out the water into another container to get it out. Overall, I'm pleased with the thing. This water pump makes my life so much easier. I try tomboy to use plastic bottles since it does make so much waste and since then it’s been a big help. I’m 4 11” so trying to pour water without the pump is a bit hard for me especially when the 5 gallon chug is full. So this saves me from back pain. One thing I have not read in the reviews is the ability to make this thing pump water at insane speeds. If you push it once, you get decent water output. However, if you push it consecutively over and over (think of how you would use a manual air pump with), you could probably empty an entire 5 gallon jug in 1 minute. Works as expected, and cheap. It is large, but it works really well. After I found a bottle it would fit on. Most of the bottles you can buy in stores have too small a neck. I found a 5 gal. bottle made by Brio and it works with their pump - but it probably the smallest one that would work with it. The collar tighten clamp is all the way down. It is meant for the bottles that have the plastic pull top seal. Like you get from the water delivery truck. Not the ones with screw on caps so much. They say that it fits 48 and 55mm bottles, but how does a consumer measure that? I don't have a caliper. It works really well! I like that it doesn't have a battery to charge, just push on the big knob on top and water gushes out. Make sure to slow down as it gets full or it will spill over. ... show more
