By covering the wide range of temperatures, the numbers are quite small. Throw in a little condensation and reading the thermometer becomes difficult . Well made - accurate (tested against another therm that was calibrated) In deep freezer screen does hold crystals You will need to find a way to hook it to a rack if you do not have a shelf or do not want it on a shelf Great deal!

Put these in my refrigerator to check temperature. Not sure of accuracy since my refrigerator panel says 37 but the thermometers state 39. One or the other is off but guess it’s within range
