I purchased these, during a Prime Day event, to replace the 35+ year old wall lights on my backyard deck. I really like the modern look. As shown in the pictures I mounted them 1st on a white wooden backplate. There would have been an open gap into the wiring hub if I mounted them directly onto the siding. Please note that they are not the brightest, but they work for my application. Most of the light is thrown up-&-down and not necessarily out. I did not give them a 5-star on installation because the two side mounting screws can be very difficult to install. They are very short and difficult to handle. I was afraid of dropping them over my deck and losing them on the ground under the deck. It would have been nice if the screws were about a quarter inch longer. I ended up placing a mat under the light during installation in case I dropped a screw. ... show more
