I actually bought this for picking up dog poop rather than using it for a chicken coop, and it works surprisingly well! 🐶💩 The rake and scooper combination makes it easy to pick up waste from the yard without having to bend over constantly. The adjustable handle is one of my favorite features. I can set it to a comfortable length, which makes cleaning up after my dog much easier on my back. The metal construction also feels sturdy and durable, so I don’t feel like I’m going to bend or break it while using it. The rake helps gather everything together, while the scoop makes it easy to collect and dispose of it. It’s especially convenient when cleaning up larger areas of the yard. Overall, this has turned out to be a really useful tool for dog owners! 😂🐾 If you don’t want to constantly bend down with a little poop bag, this makes yard cleanup much quicker and easier. When I first opened this up and looked over the multi-part tubular handle part, it really didn't seem like it would be very strong when it was assembled. But after I tightly threaded all the parts together, the handle actually gets pretty strong. I think if you're careful with it, it should last a long time. It works great, the scooper has a crisp, almost-sharp edge that separates debris from the floor well, and it sifts through dirt great too. The ergonomic handle is a big help, and it's great that you can adjust the handle length to whatever you actually need, in case the full length is overkill and in the way. Taking one star off for two small reasons. One is the price seems like a bit much for this. It's $40 normally, and $33 on sale now, and both of those prices feel a bit too high to me, for something with a hollow multipart handle like this. I'd say $25 or less is a good deal for this. The other deduction reason is the handle. Despite being pretty good for being a multipart handle, it's still a multipart handle so you just can't be as rough with it as a regular garden tool with a long single-piece solid handle. But the upside to that is it's incredibly light so it's easier to use a while without getting wore out.

There is absolutely nothing glamorous about cleaning up after chickens. But if you’re going to do it, you might as well have the right tool. The scoop and rake setup makes it easier to clean bedding, poop and debris without bending over and picking through everything by hand. It feels sturdy enough for regular coop duty and is especially useful for spot cleaning between bigger cleanouts. Not exciting. Very useful. And anyone with chickens knows that counts for a lot.

We used this around the coop, and it is much more convenient than trying to clean everything with a regular shovel. The rake and sifting scoop combination works well for separating waste from sand or bedding, so you are not throwing away more material than you need to. The adjustable handle is also helpful because it keeps you from bending over as much during cleanup. For anyone with chickens or other small farm animals, this is one of those tools that seems simple but makes a repetitive chore easier. It has been a useful addition to our farm cleanup routine.

This is a decent quality chick poop scoop. The basket is metal gaining a lot more rigidity than a plastic one would have. I use wood chips in my coop and I was hoping to clean out some of the poop and save the wood chips. For the most part this didn’t work. The holes in the basket were too small for my wood chips so I was just scooping it all anyway. I knew I would lose some would chips, but I was hoping to save some. The scoop does work in right under the roost where the poop builds up. The scooper was super easy to put together maybe 5 min. For the price I think this is a reasonable value. Overall, this didn’t work for what I wanted, but it should do great in sand.

It is a nice scoop. I hadn’t read the description very well and thought the scooper was made of plastic but it is metal which is a big plus and it isn’t flimsy metal. It was easy to put together and there is a tool to tighten the screws with also I got 2 extra screws with it. It isn’t heavy but the handle is heavy enough it shouldn’t bend while using. Also you have the handle on the handle if you need it for leverage.

Sturdy and lightweight litter scooper. Long handle with a handle attachment to help scoop. Easy to put together. The price is good for this. It could also be used to scoop up after the dogs.
