Looks like a solid pump for the price. Time will tell. Easy to install, even without instructions (because there aren't any). Got it all together and it works, but there is a very slow leak on the outlet. Tried tightening the connection and no difference. I'll have to pull it apart and try again. Over all I think I'll be very happy with it (once I get the leak fixed) and may change this review to a 5 star. We'll see

I was just a little skeptical when I saw how much less expensive this pool pump was than many others. However....I am always looking for a bargain so I bought this one. I cannot believe how quiet this pump is. I actually have to look at the jets to even tell it's running. It cleans the water like our old, more expensive one never did. It's been installed for a couple of weeks and I'm so impressed. We had to buy a couple of fittings to fit it to our filter but that cost was minimal. We'll see how it goes as time goes by but I'm hopeful that it will continue to work like this. Definitely recommend.

Replacing a 20-year-old 110/220 pond pump that finally gave up the ghost. This unit pull great head, so water rises up the 8' with great flow rate. The one negative and it was my fault is it is a plug in and was thinking it was open end wire. Added a box to plug into which was easy and have it wired so a 220-amp circuit breaker is split so the pump runs off 110 that it gets from the 9tmer and if we want to turn on at other times, we throw a switch. It is also very quite.

It leaked between the motor and pump. There were some gouges in the plastic where the surfaces met the gasket. Maybe a fluke in production, but no problem with the return. Just wasted time installing and uninstalling.
