I bought these as spares for my existing openers. They work well. Depending on your model of garage door opener, there's a process to get them connected, but once you do, these will do the job just fine. They're made of a kind of cheap plastic. They probably won't survive super rough treatment, but they were pretty cheap and if you're just clipping them to your visor in your car, you should be good. I have a newer Liftmaster garage door opener. My opener has the requisite yellow antenna wire hanging from it. There is a "learn" button under the cover of my garage wall opener, press once - quick flashing yellow light, press again, slower flashing yellow light. Press remote button opener and paired right away. I did not have to get on a ladder to press the "learn" button on the opener itself, so the pairing process was fast and easy for me. We have three drivers and vehicles in our home, but our garage door opener only provided two door openers. This pair of aftermarket door openers only work with LiftMaster/Chamberlain Garage Door opener systems. The Learn button on the back of the motor housing must be yellow in color. Programming the two remotes was easier than a walk in the park. It only took three minutes to program both remotes. The door opener remotes use a 2032 button cell battery, which is easy to purchase and replace.
