Features

  • Superior Performance: With its 46 cc, 2-cycle gasoline engine that reaches a rated speed of 8600 rpm, delivers 2.45 Nm of max torque, and offers 2.2 HP, this gas chainsaw makes light work of various intricate and demanding cutting tasks. Use a 40:1 ratio of fuel to oil mix for the engine.
  • Smooth Cutting: The chainsaw is equipped with a recoil starter for easy pull start, a 18-inch bar and chain that cut through limbs fast, and a high-quality carburetor that makes it work more efficiently and save fuel.
  • Long-Lasting & Consistent: The chain saw features an air cleaning system that actively expels large dust and debris particles before they reach the air filter. An automatic oiler ensures the chain receives a consistent flow of lubricating oil during operation, enabling the saw to maintain peak performance for years to come.
  • User-Focused Design: The lightweight, ergonomic body and the anti-vibration system provide unsurpassed comfort. The low kickback safety function reduces the risk during operation, and an automatic, inertia-activated chain brake enhances safety.

  • Good value and simple to operate
Size: 16 Inch
I bought this for use around my residence, not heavy clearing. Having said that, it works great. I have cut branches with a diameter of up to 8" easily. Simple to start up and operate as well. I purchased premixed fuel for 2 cycle engines rather than the mixing tools they provided.

  • Homeowner saw that started right out of the box. Came with bar and 2 stroke oil and Tools.
Size: 16 Inch
130 bucks at this time (18" 140 and 20" 160) ...I wish I could have got the 18 or 20 inch. Started without the choke on in 65 degree weather with the mix gas I already had that was possibly 32:1 or 40:1. The bar oil is thick and I didnt quite put all of it in since it would have filled it to the top since it flows so slow. Think I started it without the chain brake on...it seemed to work though after moving it back and forth a few times. Update 3/6: Ran over 2 tanks of gas through it and most of the bar oil is gone. Cut up a couple limbs of an apple tree. The saw developed a bog when hot, so if I hit the gas it would bog and stall. After after walking away for a couple minutes, it would start and run for a few then bog. Realized after getting home there are no tools included to adjust the carb H L fuel screws. I was still able to chunk up some of the small stuff for smoking. The missing tools and bog were a disappointment. I am a homeowner and not a professional wood hawk. Seems the bar oil is leaking out at the chain. I dont remember seeing the allen wrenches? Maybe I missed them? I have lots of them anyway. I didn't read the instructions. They have a tag and sticker to walk you through the initial setup and starting. Check the spark plug gap if you have issues starting it. Buy the biggest chain saw you can afford. ... show more

  • Efficient Cutting with BILT HARD’s Gas Chainsaw: A Practical Experience
Size: 16 Inch
I received a 16-inch chainsaw from BILT HARD and was impressed with its balance of power and manageability. The machine's 2-cycle engine made it easy to start up, and the automatic oiler kept the chain lubricated. The chainsaw's design is easy to handle despite its robust engine, making it suitable for various cutting tasks without causing fatigue. The low kickback and effective chain brake ensure safety and peace of mind. This model offers solid performance for home or light commercial use, and its EPA certification makes it an environmentally responsible choice. Regular maintenance is necessary, but it's a practical addition to any tool collection. ... show more

  • Very impressive for a budget saw. Good company.
Size: 16 Inch
Getting right to the point, this is made in China, but from a company I traced to producing lots of really decent, budget friendly, outdoor power tools I have been accumulating and reviewing over the last year or so. I re-sharpen my own chains, but at a certain point they have to be replaced. This saw cost about double what I have to pay for one OEM chain alone for my big name brand saws. My expectations were tempered, but after an hour of mixed use trimming oak branches up to 12" in diameter, down to knocking away the 1" ones, and ripping up a bunch of stuff for kindling, I am perfectly happy with how well this performed. This worked as it should right out of the box. I’m used to having to tweak the carb high and low speed needle jets to fine tune new saws, but this one needed nothing. Easy to start hot or cold. No bothersome issues with keeping proper chain tension. Gas nor bar oil ever leaked out. And the chain oiler worked perfectly. Comparing this to my newer 16" MS251 Stihl saw, that has maybe 40 hours of use, I prefer this one hands down. My Stihl has required a small fortune in parts so far to keep running, and it really doesn’t cut wood any better than this Bilt Hard. While I do think my name brand saws are a step up in quality of materials used, at the end of the day they also cost more to maintain. For the DIY homeowner on small land, or new homeowner on a budget, this is a great choice. Inexpensive extra chains are readily available at home improvement and hardware stores. Also, I’m not overly worried if this gets stolen from the hunting cabin vs my expensive name brand saws. At time I obtained this for review, the cost was $100. I feel this is an excellent value. ... show more
