You get what you pay for. It's a decent little smoker. Pretty cheap as far as stability. Used it for the 2nd time today and the thermometer fell right out, leaving the ring to smolder in the heat. Really not sure if it was even reading accurately.

First: Instructions? Hahahahaha. No. No instructions of any worth. Just basically an engineering diagram that you need a magnifying glass to read. Hope you're good at Legos, cuz they don't really tell you how to put this together. I figured it out, but these instructions are terrible. Second: Shoddy quality. Cheap flimsy steel. Paint didn't cure as much as it just basically started peeling when I lit a fire to 350 degrees. Third, and most importantly: This was engineered wrong. The bottom fuel pan has no air intake holes, grill, screen, or anything. Lighting a fire in that pan means the air comes from outside the edges of the pan and has to be pulled down into the fuel. This isn't how any smokers work. You cannot stabilize fuel heat that way, which is VITAL for properly smoking ANYTHING. On the first batch of chicken, something that normally takes 90 minutes, I fought this dang thing for TWO AND A HALF HOURS trying to stabilize the heat. Once the chicken was done, I put out the fire, removed the bottom pan, grabbed a power drill, and popped 12 1/4" holes in the bottom. This vastly improved the smoker's functionality for another batch of chicken, a batch of ribs, and two culottes for our BBQ. But I shouldn't be doing the manufacturer's job for them like so. This smoker is trash. To make it work, you need to drill holes in it. No.

used wood to smoke brisket for 5 hours. Smoker warped and paint peeled off after first use. Waste of money as it is useless now. Did smoke the brisket.

Great smaller size grill. Easy assembly and decent construction. Interesting way hat in can be opened up to make a single grill or stacked for two grills and then closed for a smoker.

This smoker Grill combo is great for a smaller space, patio or apartment. It is a compact size, perfect for a single person or a couple. I would also consider this an emergency preparedness item. Always good to have an alternative cooking method at hand. You can cook meat and other items on two levels and there is a thermostat which is great. With the lid on, it becomes a smoker. There are two vents. Great little grill!
