Great electric saw for home use. Lost a large apple tree in the recent blizzard and it was blocking our barn. I had never used a chainsaw before, but my husband was laid up and couldn’t do the job. It was simple to use, started right up, light enough that I could maneuver it to cut up the fallen limb. I’m 79 years old and 5,2”. Would recommend it for anyone needing a chainsaw.

Works great. I deducted one star because a screw came loose in the handle. It just needed a washer, head of screw was not big enough for the plastic handle. So easy fix. Great price. Happy with it.

I took a chance on this based on only 1 negative review at my time of purchase. I'm glad I bought it. It has already paid for itself. I used this saw in a manlift about 40ft in the air cutting 3 trees approximately 15 inches diameter and down. It really ripped. I was also skeptical that my two aftermarket 6.0ah batteries would actually perform. They did. I don't know if the aftermarket batteries are as good as factory, but they seem to be working very well. This saw comes in a cardboard box, and you have to put the handle and the chain, bar, and outer cover on. You also have to put oil in the reservoir and grease your bar tip. If you have at least basic skills, you will be fine putting this together. You will most likely need to loosen the screws that hold the chain tensioner so you can get the "log tooth" installed. It just takes a little time--it's not bad. Make sure to snug but not over-tighten all the body screws. I had to snug up almost every screw before using. They weren't going to fall out IMO, but they needed a little more tension. I was really impressed how this battery saw at 40v (2 x 20v--one mounted on each side) had power and kept power until it didn't want to go anymore. Don't push it, or you'll burn up your batteries. When it wants to stop, you stop, and then switch out your batteries, and it will start right back up again. The chain brake / shield forward is a safety. You have to pull back on the chain brake (towards you) to turn off the safety so the tool will activate. I would say I ran this saw intermittently for over 1 hour on 2 6.0ah aftermarket batteries. I took 8 batteries with me, and I only swapped out 1x for "dead" batteries, and the second set still have juice in them. I really like not having the heat and the fumes compared to a gas saw in addition to only running the saw when I need to cut and not starting and shutting off and restarting or leaving the gas saw running. I was impressed how this saw cut thru a 15" green elm tree like butter. And that was approximately 30-40ft in the air. I was also concerned the chain might loosen up on me. It did not. I had bought another brand that is orange and black 40v when they first came out, and that chain loosened up on me so much I quit using the saw. Overall, very pleased at this time. If I develop problems, I will update my review. 5 stars

I bought this for cutting and yard work around the house, and it has been a solid tool so far. Being cordless makes it a lot more convenient, especially when you do not want to deal with gas or extension cords. It feels strong enough for regular tree trimming and general outdoor work. Nice option if you want a practical saw that is easier to handle for home use.

This saw is a trooper! It was able to take down 25' tall/16" thick palm tree and then chop it into manageable pieces. It's a proper tool for such job. The saw was cutting through the dense palm trunk with an ease. It was jamming only in the thickest parts, where it was necessary to cut a wedge. Still, no drama at all. The saw is very powerful, the battery life is ok -- two fully charged 4AH batteries were allowing to make 6-7 cuts across 16" thick trunk. I'm an amateur -- I had to make cuts from different sides and roll downed tree to avoid jams. Someone who makes living cutting trees would probably manage to get better battery life. The saw does not deplete batteries to "un-chargeable" level. After the saw depletes the battery and ceases to operate, it was possible to start charging the battery immediately. The chain gets loose after several cuts, but it's easy to adjust it. Also, it's easy and convenient to disassemble the saw for cleaning. The saw is more powerful and effective than yellow brand alternative.
