This chainsaw really exceeded my expectations. There are little touches that really stand out in just quickly assembling it. The first thing that I noticed was that it has a QR code that leads you to a page where you can see the assembly video, chain adjustment info and troubleshooting. The next thing is that it actually has a bumper spike, and when I went to get the supplied screwdriver to install it I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was actually a full-sized screwdriver and it has a magnetic tip on it - you're lucky if you are even given a stubby little cheapo thing that goes on the trash when ur done. They do include a little oiling bottle, which is helpful and an extra chain. As far as how well it works, it works really well. I was worried that I would need to get an 80v battery powered chainsaw, but this did this job quite nicely - and a whole lot better than the 14" harbor freight electric chainsaw that I had tried to use originally. I did test it first with to 1.5ah oem batteries just to see what it could do and it could go through a felled log about 11" in diameter and do maybe 2 to 4 cuts and that's it. However, using a set of of 20v/60v flexvolt oem batteries, I was able to get through quite a bit of wood. I didn't keep track as I was having to move small pieces around and clear an area due to fallen trees on our property, but the batteries outlasted me every time or died out when I needed to take a break anyway. I was cutting log and tree branches ranging from 3" in diameter to about 15". I do want to point out that I am a homeowner clearing a few felled trees on my property, and only doing about 2 to 3 hours or so of work at a time in early'ish September in So-Cal. So i don't know this would work for someone doing it as a living, but swap in new batteries and throw the others on a quick charger? In any case, it's a big 👍 up for me as it included quite a bit and does a really good job for the price - it's quite a value!

I love this thing. It's easy to use, light, not noisy, the oilier works well, and the chain adjustment is easy. The only problem I have with it is when I have one weak DeWalt battery, but of course that is easy to figure out and swap out. This has plenty of power. I cut down my 40 year old cherry tree (had 4 main bows 6-8" in diameter coming off it, and it cut it all pretty fast. I changed batteries once for the whole tree. It been 7 months of use and is still running strong. I need to touch up the chain again because it's not liking dried up silver maple limbs.

I've never given a 5 star review before, and I've given a few product reviews on Amazon, so that should mean something. This thing surprised me!! With it being a "no-name" Chinese knock off, I didn't have very high expectations. And while putting it together, it seemed a little "flimsy" and designed for "light duty" work and had some plastic parts that I thought should have been a little heavier duty. So, those were my initial impressions. And, to be fair, I didn't buy this thing to do "heavy duty" lumberjack type work. I bought it for "light duty" work. So, I just got off a 3 day camping trip in the mountains, and I put this thing to work. IT SURPRISED ME!! The first cut, was a smallish 4" diameter pine tree that fallen across the road. I whipped this thing out, and the saw made very short work of it. Like 2-3 seconds. Ok, I thought, but it was a small tree. Then later in the day as I was setting up camp, I was making some chairs to sit around the camp fire, and there was a fallen tree nearby (lodgepole pine), and I thought it would be the perfect time to test this thing out. The tree was about 12" maybe 14" in diameter, and no joke, this thing went to town. Maybe 15 seconds to cut all the way thru. I was like, ok wow, impressed. Then I continued 5 more cuts on that fallen tree. Then I continued to trim branches (2") around the camp site, and those were like cutting warm butter. I was using a pair of off-brand 12ah batteries, and I didn't run out of battery life after about 30-40 minutes of getting the campsite ready. So, although, I didn't put this thing to hard work, it did exactly what I bought it to do. No mixing fuel or funky fuel smell, no throwing your shoulder out trying to get it started, or messing w the choke. None of that. Just press the button and go to town. It comes with an extra chain, and obviously a very sharp chain is largely behind the cutting efficiency. So, I will be buying an extra 2 pack of chains, just incase this "no name" company goes out of business, but, for what it is, and for what I paid, worth every penny. I have only had it for a few weeks, so I can't speak about the longevity, or long term reliability, so if over time, it shows signs of being "cheap" I will come back and amend this review. But for now...... 5 stars

Works with my DeWalt 20v batteries and was able to easily remove the 3-4” branches I had which were my 2 criteria for the purchase. For the price it could be disposable but it appears to be durable enough to last a while. If you’re not looking for something for professional use I’d have no problem recommending it.

I took a chance on this based on only 1 negative review at my time of purchase. I'm glad I bought it. It has already paid for itself. I used this saw in a manlift about 40ft in the air cutting 3 trees approximately 15 inches diameter and down. It really ripped. I was also skeptical that my two aftermarket 6.0ah batteries would actually perform. They did. I don't know if the aftermarket batteries are as good as factory, but they seem to be working very well. This saw comes in a cardboard box, and you have to put the handle and the chain, bar, and outer cover on. You also have to put oil in the reservoir and grease your bar tip. If you have at least basic skills, you will be fine putting this together. You will most likely need to loosen the screws that hold the chain tensioner so you can get the "log tooth" installed. It just takes a little time--it's not bad. Make sure to snug but not over-tighten all the body screws. I had to snug up almost every screw before using. They weren't going to fall out IMO, but they needed a little more tension. I was really impressed how this battery saw at 40v (2 x 20v--one mounted on each side) had power and kept power until it didn't want to go anymore. Don't push it, or you'll burn up your batteries. When it wants to stop, you stop, and then switch out your batteries, and it will start right back up again. The chain brake / shield forward is a safety. You have to pull back on the chain brake (towards you) to turn off the safety so the tool will activate. I would say I ran this saw intermittently for over 1 hour on 2 6.0ah aftermarket batteries. I took 8 batteries with me, and I only swapped out 1x for "dead" batteries, and the second set still have juice in them. I really like not having the heat and the fumes compared to a gas saw in addition to only running the saw when I need to cut and not starting and shutting off and restarting or leaving the gas saw running. I was impressed how this saw cut thru a 15" green elm tree like butter. And that was approximately 30-40ft in the air. I was also concerned the chain might loosen up on me. It did not. I had bought another brand that is orange and black 40v when they first came out, and that chain loosened up on me so much I quit using the saw. Overall, very pleased at this time. If I develop problems, I will update my review. 5 stars

Great little saw. I'll never use a gas one again. Cut some 12-14 inch trees and limbs with no issue. Self oiler and easy-adjust chain tensioner work great. Wish it ran on 1 battery and not 2, but not that big a deal. Used gas saws for years for hurricane and yard cleanup. So nice not having the gas and oil mess, and the noise to deal with. My son had one of these, so I tried it and really like it so far.

The only real negative I have with it is the tool free design to loosen or tighten the chain. It does come loose pretty easily without even being aggressive with the chainsaw like it snagging on something. However it's also very quick and easy to tighten it back up so it's not the biggest issue in my opinion. I'm not the biggest fan of the oil cap location either considering it's electric, but it is what it is... its the same on gas models, but being electric it could've been placed better. The rest of the chainsaw feels great. The weight balance is perfect with 2 5ah batteries on it. It feels every bit as sturdy and solid as my old stihl of similar size. The safety button is conveniently enough placed to not be annoying to use. It has plenty of RPM and strength to cut like a regular gas chainsaw. I cut with it for about 45 minutes with 2 real 5ah fully charged and it didn't even drop 1 bar, so I can only assume the people complaining about battery life are either using aftermarket batteries or they're trying to use a little 2ah on it or something. The chains that come with it are good enough for the price, but after those are shot I would definitely recommend better chains. it was cutting a 12" oak trunk without any hesitating or bogging so it's more than good enough for me.

This saw did not cut very well. Anything larger than 2 Inches would bind the chain. It worked OK for light duty stuff, which is what I bought it for. I then replaced the chain with an Oregon chain. It made a huge difference. Now it's about 95% as powerful my 20 year old Homelite Ranger 33 cc gas saw. I prefer it because it can now cut anything my 16 inch gas saw can cut, but with no noise and no fumes. And, I don't have to start it every time I set it down either. I already had lots of DeWalt batteries and I have an inverter in my car that can charge them up. I really like this thing now, and use it almost exclusively. 1 star removed for the crappy chain.
