  • Used to guide/secure large pine tree when taking it down.
Size: 3/4in-100ft-Red
Seems a little stiff, but it is new. Used to help guide/pull down a 80+ft 32in diameter pine tree. Did it's job well. I felt confident it would hold the tree away from buildings/structures.

  • A bit stiff, a bit thick, not really braided. A bit stiff, a bit thick, not really braided.
Size: 3/8in-200ft-Blue
Purchased to make dock lines for my boat. The rope is slightly thicker than 3/8 inch. I think it's actually 10mm. See picture. The rope is a lot stiffer than I expected or wanted, especially compared to 3/8 braided nylon I already own. This affects the ability to tie and dress knots, and also affects attaching to boat/dock cleats. Barely useable as dock line. See picture of about 1 foot of rope supporting itself horizontally. I cut off the braided sheath to inspect the core. The core consists of many small strands similar to what's inside paracord. See picture. ... show more

  • Great outdoor rope Great outdoor rope
Size: 3/8in-100ft-Orange
I am not a professional arborist but I definitely have many outdoor uses for this rope. While I am not supporting trees per se, I do support cut limbs and I have used the rope to drag/move logs/trunks around. This rope is very durable. I drug a couple medium sized tree trunks through the yard after limbing them out and the rope was not abraded. While I was not dragging on concrete I did go over some gravel and tree roots. There is little to no stretch in this rope which makes it great for pulling trunks or supporting limbs as you cut them. No one wants to have an elastic moment that then either snaps or snaps back. While this rope is durable it is also soft enough for extended use. I would not call it soft by any means but compared to some other arborist ropes it is softer. Since there is little to no stretch make sure your knots are on point as poor knots will slip free making the rope seem "slippery". Overall a good value to have some outdoor rope on hand. I'm sure this would be fantastic for a swing. I cannot speak to the break strength of this rope as I have no way to test that. ... show more
