These work great for a 5.5’ bed, but I wouldn’t use them for anything bigger. The ratchet and flip to release function operates smoothly. The release is a bit stiff and requires a little convincing. Honestly very disappointed. Stanley, Stanley for heaven's sake! This should be a brand everyone should trust. These are by far the worst ratchet straps I've ever seen/used. First, the straps are very weak. Second, loosening them is tough. Trirdly, the ratchet edges are sharp and painful on the hands/fingers. For a brand that has been a family brand for so long, I can't believe they have such poor quality items out this day and age. I'm returning them. ... show more

They work fine. I have used them in household repairs and for projects. I find the ratchet release not great, but at that price so it goes. Also, the instructions are not well placed in the package. They're wrapped up in one of the straps so you can draw bad luck and not find it until you hit the last one. ... show more
