I took a long time to find a chair that met my needs. I am ambulatory, but have problems walking distances. I also love to cruise, so it needed to meet the requirements of the cruise ships and also airlines. The lithium battery does meet the airline standards. The wheelchair was very easy to unbox and set up. My son had it read to go within 15 minutes. When it is folded it takes the space of a compact baby stroller when it is closed. It is 36 lbs including the battery. When I am using the chair I feel very secure, but I recommend that you try it out on different surfaces as soon as you get it. I had an issue with the sensitivity of the joystick when I first tried the chair and spoke with the manufacturer. We tried some adjustments before they sent a replacement. The interactions with them were very straightforward and easy. I get a little nervous in tight spaces, so it is easy for me to turn off the power and have someone push it for me in manual mode. It's also nice to know that if the power runs out, you can use it like a traditional wheelchair. It comes with a nice cushion to keep your tush comfortable. There is a back pocket behind the chair to carry items, and a small mesh bag on the side for carrying small items. The back of the chair has reflective tape to make you visible. Also there is a front light and USB charger for your mobile devices. I am very happy with my purchase. I am extra happy that I bought it during a sale when it was about $600.

I just received this electric wheel chair and so far, I am happy with it. I rated it 4 stars due to it's weight. It weighs in at a little over 36 pounds with all attachments....definitely not the lightest e-wheelchair on the market; which could be an issue for the elderly or for those with limited muscular strength. Upon receipt of this chair, I highly recommend that you get very familiar with how it operates, first; otherwise you could be facing injury or property damage. In my case, I lined up 3 cardboard boxes spaced about 5 feet apart in an open area, drove around the boxes in a forward and in a backward "serpentine" maneuver....do that, and you will definitely understand how this machine works....Enjoy! Add on comments: (1) Its very easy to assemble out of the box. (2) Read and fully understand the enclosed operator's manual, paying particular attention to safety items. (3) Be extremely careful when operating at higher speeds. I recommend selecting the lowest or lower speeds when pedestrians or structures are nearby. (4) Be mindful of the "braking reaction times" when needing to stop. (5) The battery level indicator could be a bit "ambiguous" when trying to determine the power remaining in the battery.

I miss the window to return this because I had to wait for my daughter to be able to unpack it for me. When we did, it won’t hold a charge and it stairs very erratically. I have been left stranded in the hallway more than once and I’ve had to just sit there until my daughter could get home. I have tried to reach out to the seller and have not been able to get through.

Joy stick operation was near impossible to master. When moving in reverse, the fully-castoring front wheels will turn unpredictably, making small back-and-forward moves in tight spaces very problematic. The armrest extension with controls makes it awkward to get seated, and awkward to store the wheel chair in a car behind the front seats. It does not maintain a constant speed: going from straight forward (or backing up) to any turn, the chair slows. And there seems to be a delay in motor response to joy stick controls. The footrest also makes sitting down and getting up challenging.

Over all I like the chair. It doesn’t do thresholds on the slow speed very well. I only had it three days and you have to practice steering it in all directions. You have to be moving when you turn. You can’t turn from a stationary position. I’m 5’6” , 150 lbs. I fill up the seat and my legs feel crammed in the foot rest. I like that both arm rest lift up there is a cell phone charger and a light that I will not likely use. Battery life is good. You can lock the rear wheels for boarding and unboarding. When you turn the power off you can have someone push you. Sometimes it’s necessary for tight spaces and some thresholds until you can control the chair at a higher speed. There are multiple speeds.

The media could not be loaded. There appears to be no manual mode as claimed.. Though fully charged, the Power shut off several times while going through airport. Power shut off while going down an onramp leaving me with no brakes! The emergency brake appears connected to nothing. Very difficult to use in elevator or bathroom as turning is not responsive or over responds.
