The photo is my new folding wheelchair in the back of the quiet van. No ramps rattling when we drive and no scratched bumpers. So sturdy and solid. My son put a rug in the well to cover the bumper when he lifts it out. It is not light but it is doable for him. As many comments have stated it is heavy and sincerely needs a handle and a latch so it doesn’t unfold. Truly unfolds that easily, like a lawn chair. It’s turning navigation is different from my ancient electric wheelchair. I’m learning. I took it off road (on a patch of grass) it traversed it like it was nothing. I am so happy, I can not get to areas I haven’t been close to in over 10 years. Apparently Medicare considers a folding wheelchair a recreational vehicle. Yes I can enjoy myself. I can go to the park and push my grands on a swing, I can have anyone willing pick me up and take me to a school concert, a restaurant, the library or a store. Yes I guess I can have some recreation. Isn’t it a shame, Medicare doesn’t think wheelchair bound people have that right. I hope they eventually see the error of their ways. Let me tell you about the cup holder, it is marvelous. It is secure! It faces off the front of the opposite arm from the joystick. It is solid, it doesn’t wobble, omgoodness it actually hold a beverage in place. My son is impressed with the welds everywhere. Nothing is shaking loose. Was I apprehensive? Yes! Spending that much money makes me nervous, I’m 74 after all, my first new car was a ‘71 Duster and cost much less. But I bit the bullet and have been enjoying myself. I love the lumbar curve in the back, it fits me perfectly. This Grammy is headed to Florida in a few weeks, I mar get a ticket for speeding! Oh, the arm rest are so sturdy and also a perfect height. Just received my power chair today. I am very impressed with the construction and ease of use. The manufacturing company does not return emails , but answered the phone and my questions quickly. 03/19/2024. I spent hours riding it on the Mall Of America in MN. I am very pleased with the performance of this power chair. Plenty of power for this big guy thanks to two 300watt geared rear wheel drives. Takes a little while to get used to the touchy joy stick controller. Got used to it quickly and was making 180 degree zero turns in elevators. I had no trouble stopping when small children or adults stepped in front of me. Operation was flawless and you can feel the power from zero to top speed. The only negatives are there needs be a way to keep the chair from unfolding when lifting into the back of my suv. I have ordered some Velcro straps. It would also be helpfull to have well balanced grip areas to lift it or lower it. Know that it is heavier than the term light weight. My wife and I can lift it in and out. I am ambulatory, just in a weaker present state . Operations and charging are all well thought out an easy to do. The bottom line is I love this chair and happy to be able to go more places with my wife again!

My Wife has Alzheimer's Disease. She has reached the place where I can no longer care for her at home. I have lower back issues and cannot walk very far without a great deal of pain. I wanted to be able to visit with her everyday in the Nursing Home and knew that would be a problem due to distance inside the facility. I began to research Electric Wheelchairs hoping to find something that would accommodate my 300 Lbs. Also wanted something that would allow me to once again shop for necessities in stores and visit parks and navigate trails. As I looked online at all the different wheelchairs I kept coming back to Porto Mobility's 2022 Ranger Quattro XL Power Wheelchair Model. I read the reviews and watched the videos many times and decided that this model would allow me to do the things I needed to do to lead a more normal and fulfilling life. Since purchasing the Quattro XL I have not been disappointed. The chair has exceeded my expectations. It is easy to maneuver even in my small house. It takes a little while to get used to maneuvering around the house and thru doorways if you have never used an electric wheelchair but not too long. I have had a few small issues arise and contacted Porto Mobility. The online reviews spoke highly of their service and I found this to be true. Customer Service was Professional and Courteous. The seating is comfortable. It is indeed easy to fold and unfold. I am glad to have taken the time to research the various electric Wheelchair models and believe I have made the best choice to meet my needs.

I bought this wheelchair in Nov 2021. Your shipping department went into high gear and got it to me halfway across the U.S. in 72 hours. I was/am disabled and I was using it on occasion for outings with my family and shopping trips as I couldn't walk very far. Fast forward to June 2022--I had a bad fall and shattered my femur. This chair has been my legs for 11 months now; it goes everywhere for me--up hills, in gravel, tight spaces, handicap restrooms, endless hospital halls. It holds a charge great. When it needs a charge, 4-5 hours and it's done. I just plug it in at bedside overnight. My husband folds it up and lifts it into our SUV several times some days. He says it's easy. I'm healing now after surgeries and knee and femur replacements, and I still use it every day. The upholstery looks new, no dents or dings in the frame and believe me, I've hit every door frame I've come across and still it looks pristine. Many people have asked about it, and I tell them it's the best purchase to make. I want to thank you all for giving me freedom in ways I could not have had with a standard bulky electric wheelchair, and for selling such a reliable product. 💜

I purchased this chair about two months ago after a back injury kept me from standing for long periods, or walking more than short distances. I'm retired and mostly use it for traveling on trips where I would normally be on my feet for hours at a time. I have to say that I'm happy with my purchase. The chair seems sturdy and holds my 6'4" tall/340 lb size comfortably. I don't need to squeeze in between the armrests. The motors are strong enough to move me around without any issues, but they are a little louder than I'd like. Not terribly loud, but you can hear me coming. Battery life is awesome! I took it on a cruise and got about 3 days out of it before I needed to recharge. That was going most all day every day with both included batteries installed. I charged it finally on the 3rd evening because it was starting to get low and I knew I wouldn't get another full day. The other thing about the batteries is the capacity (240 Watt Hours each) is too much to get the chair parked inside the plane even with it all folded down. They allowed me to use the chair all the way to the door of the plane, but then they checked the chair into baggage after that. The chair was then brought back to the door of the plane on landing. Not a huge deal for me, but worth noting. My only real complaint is the chair is a bit heavy. I didn't weigh it with a scale, but my estimate would be 75-80 lbs with the batteries installed. It is definitely heavier than what the details in the advertisement say it is. My wife can still maneuver it because we unlock the wheels and roll it around where we need to load and go, and then she only has to get it into the back of my truck. We make it work, but if you're looking for lightweight, this isn't it. I suppose it's the trade off for its sturdiness and 400lb carrying capacity. The maneuverability is pretty good, but not great. Tight corners are its nemesis. Things like airport TSA lines are doable, but might take a little practice, or a bit of back and forth until you get the hang of it. I managed without too much difficulty, but it does take a bit of getting used to it. The part I still struggle with is backing up. You gotta take it down to the slowest speed and hold really steady. Even then, elevator doors were the worst! :) The 4 out of 5 stars is for weight and minor maneuverability issues. Not deal breakers for me, but definitely the weak points of the chair.

Prior to purchasing, I called customer service and asked several questions. They were friendly and very helpful. My order arrived quickly and was very well-packaged. Set up was fast, the batteries were charged already, and I was rolling out of the garage in about 15 minutes. I’m 6’3” and weigh 350 pounds, and the Ranger Quattro XL fits me well. I appreciate the fact that it is sturdy. Even though I am a big guy, it easily handles my size.

I lost my left leg to diabetes and needed an easy way to get around. After researching Electric wheelchairs in my price range capable of hauling my 300 lbs around I settled on the Quattro Ranger XL and it has been a lifesaver. I can sit in it all day comfortably and it gets me around with no problems. It makes it around the tight corners in my old house easily. The joystick is a bit sensitive but you get used to it in time. The chair folds up nicely and my wife can lift it in and out of the vehicle with no problems. I purchased my Ranger Quattro XL in August of 2025, I think it’s important to say before I get to far into my review, that I am perfectly able to walk and to stand, but not to far, and not to long, reason being I have terrible athiritus in both knees and the cartilage is totally gone in both my knees, which adds to the excruciating pain I’m in daily…I’m actually supposed to be getting the knee replacement surgery soon (I hope) but until then, Is the reason for the purchase of this absolutely Wonderful Electric Wheelchair, also I might add that even though the Surgery will take care of a few improvements to my knees, it will not cure the arthritis…so I’ll still be in a lot of pain, andI’ll definitely be keeping my Ranger Quattro, also I purchased a 3rd battery, and they are expensive at just a tad over $400 after taxes, but let me tell you something! With the addition of the 3rd battery, this thing absolutely FLY’S! I’m talkin FAST! not to mention it adds to the overall mileage you can go by at least another 10 miles! WOW! actually I’m planning to do a little test to find out the actual distance this thing can actually go on a full charge, as well as clocking its new additional speed! I’m tellin you folks! Get the 3rd battery! If you wanna have a little fun, or just add some pep to your step! Get the extra battery! It’s totally worth it! I’ll end this review by saying that all the great and wonderful things that people who made this purchase have said and attested to are absolutely true! I’m 6 feet 273 lbs, (I’m on a great diet and losing weight weekly) and I’m also “a young” 70 years old. I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! and I live my life the way I believe Jesus wants me too…by Trying to follow His every example each and every day, that’s all we are expected to do… God Bless everyone who reads this review, I’m very happy and content with this Ranger Quattro (rocket chair) You will be too!
