I LOVE this chair! Longer review to answer the questions i had before i purchased! It's not kidding when it says light weight, 37 pounds includes the battery in. The battery truly is a one click removable battery that can be charged with or without the chair. It's also super light weight itself, my mom (almost 70) who thinks a gallon of milk it heavy to lift, has no problem lifting and charging this battery. This chair maneuvers well enough to do a 180 in a grocery store isle, which is great because sometimes tight turns are not a forte for these chairs! It folds up exactly like a stroller so the folded size fits in any trunk, and it can stand in it's own while folded. The seat and back are comfortable for multiple hours of sitting, the headrest is truly adjustable to your needs. I am 5'7 and the headrest fits me, as well as fitting my 5'1 mother. The 5 speeds are actual variants, the lowest with make you feel like you're crawling and the highest will have you zipping in and out like you've never moved before! It truly does handle uneven terrain very well! Each rear tire has a motor to it, so even if one tire can grab the other one can. It backs up smoothly, and if you leave the voice on, it will tell people you are backing up! Speaking of the voice, this has a recorded voice that lets people know you're backing up and one that says "help please" if you push the SOS button. Don't like that? No problem, you can mute the lady's voice! The way the chair "stops" does take some getting used to, only because it uses electromagnetic brakes, and for those that don't know what that means, it means the magnets are turned on or off by allowing current to run to it. What this means is sometimes, if you are in a slope or uneven surface, it may studder a bit to fully stop you because it doesn't want to throw you out. The super simple fix is to use the joystick to go "backwards" and it will stop shuddering immediately. Over all I couldn't recommend this chair enough! For the money, for the chair, and for the customer service! My chairs battery showed signs of not working and the company immediately replaced it for me! I should mention I purchased two chairs, the other battery was fine for my mom. ... show more

BEWARE!! This company is a total ripoff. I purchased what seemed to be an answer to my ongoing mobility issue. As a stroke survivor, I searched for a device that would give me some ability to be out, on my own without a constant need for a caregiver to push my wheelchair. This lightweight folding chair seems to be an answer to a prayer. The chair worked great for a short time (it was received just before the holidays. Unfortunately at the end of March it stopped completely - would not move, would not hold a charge, was basically worthless. Since early April I have called and e-mailed numerous times. Have been on hold for hours, received parts that do not solve the problem and finally today was told "its an easy fix, wiring connector needs replacement, get someone local to do it." I am beyond frustrated and angry. I had a stroke, I'm on one side, I live with a caregiver, I DO NOT HAVE ANYONE TO CALL ON FOR ASSISTANCE. They have effectively wiped their hands of the situation. I am handicapped and live on disability - I cannot afford to lose hundreds of dollars for something that is basically a worthless piece of metal/plastic. The wheelchair is easy to handle at only 33 pounds and is compact. It works really well on grass, 2" of snow, gravel, and of course sidewalks and houses. The wheelchair turns on a dime and it's simple to use it. It folds-up like a lawn chair! My battery lasts a week and it's easy to charge. People on the streets stop me and say that the chair is really cool and they want to get the chair for their mothers, teenagers, and wives. I didn't give it five stars because the brakes aren't easy for a short person to reach and it was made for short people. I don't think people over 5'8" can manage to fit and it is not adaptable. Did extensive research on the best electric chair for my needs, and this was the perfect compromise. It's the lightest for what this chair has to offer at 33lbs. It goes up to 5 mph, 15 mile range and 4 hrs charge time. I weigh 170 lbs and the power was great. My main issue is that the joystick is not aligned with it's steering. It needs to be realigned. I'm sure they're not all like this. I could have just gotten a lemon. For example, pushing the joystick towards 12 o'clock should make the chair go straight forward, right? Wrong. For a perfect straight drive, you need to push the joystick to almost the 1 o'clock position. However, when you aim at 1:00, it's a bit slower than at 12:00. But remember, at 12:00 it does not go straight, it goes slightly to the left. So, it's as if the positioning of the joystick (at least on my chair) is not aligned properly. I hate that I had to get used to this, as well as live with it. Because I don't have the strength or physical ability to pack it up and return it. It's not fair, but I guess that's life and this is why my rating can only be 3 stars at best. I wanted to give it 2 stars, but in fairness, the chair serves me well for my needs. I am not 100% wheelchair dependent. I only use it for travel and days when I'll be walking more than a few hundred feet. It's powerful, it goes up inclines, it charges pretty quickly, even for just 30 minutes when you just need a little extra juice. The battery has to be slammed with just the right force into its carriage under the chair, or it won't be secured and could fall out. I have to give it a few jams and check-pull it each time to make sure it's secure, another negative. Anything in this price range should pass quality controls, regardless of whether this is in the lower price range for electric wheelchairs with these specs! My elderly mother could've bought this model too, but she wouldn't have the capacity to figure out a workaround like I had to. She shouldn't have to. So, she got a different chair and hers works perfectly. If you're lucky enough to receive a chair that has none of these issues (as it shouldn't) then I'd recommend this wheelchair. ... show more

This little chair Is very well made. The fit and finish are excellent. It went together easily, instructions are good but not really necessary. Ignore those who say that this is difficult to push manually. I'm an ancient old worn out man and can push it easily, no issue at all. I really like the fact that it has manual brakes for extra safety, and the automatic magnetic brake too. I had some questions while waiting for delivery (which was quick) and the customer service was quite good. Quick replies and helpful answers to my questions. I have quite a bit of experience with big heavy expensive power chairs and this little one measures up nicely. It took only 3 days since I placed the order and it arrived in perfect conditions, the speed is reasonable enough to pass safely through small doors and slim passage way, I suggest new user like me should start from the lowest speed until you get use with it for proper handling. The weight is so light even I can load and unload it in my car trunk even I’m on non weight bearing restrictions with crutches, you only need to do it carefully and safely if you have strong other leg otherwise others can easily carry and do it for you. I can fold it easily in seconds and it slide perfectly in my trunk. I can also used it through the grass, you only need to increase the speed for additional thrust from the motor, It can also safely pass those small uneven pavement you just have to make sure it is safely locked from the back to prevent from accidental folding as a safety precaution which I believed all the user should do, beside I can easily lock it myself while seated. The cushion is excellent and comfortable, I never felt pressure load from my butt and back even I stayed seated for a long period of time. If you put break for both wheels the motor will not move if you accidentally move the joystick which is good for safety. Regarding the battery I noticed it long last and it doesn’t drain fast even I used it frequently. You can also put the charger from the back pocket of the wheelchair and connect it from the small circle hole at the back of the battery if you want to plug it as you charge. This wheelchair is lightweight and small enough to pass through a home's doorways. It is easy to exit by either side by lifting the arm rests. It performs well on paved surfaces; however, the small hard tires are not suited to handle dirt paths etc. With a caretaker along to help when you get stuck.it is a great chair to take to a department store. Or any event where the surface is suitable. Steering takes practice as the front caster wheels do not react like a steering wheel and one must anticipate a wobble motion when reversing.
