We bought this chipper for chopping up our garden as we took it down for the winter. We had a good-sized pile of tomato plants, vegetable plants, flowers and stuff. It made quick work of shredding it up to go into our compost pile for the winter. We were very happy with the job it did.

I like it, as it did well making mulch, however my unit struggled on branches are over an inch in diameter. Power isn’t quite there to mulch effectively on branches over an inch in diameter as it stopped and had to reset a couple of times due to unit struggling on dense branches over an inch in diameter. It can be loud and I do recommend hearing protection such as ear plugs. Price of unit may be a bit high.

Wood chipper arrived fairly quickly. Got it assembled and ready for use. Wood chipper worked great the first time. Just recently tried using it again to grind up some leaves and small twigs but the chipper would not grind the material. The material just bounced around in the shoot but was never pulled through and ground up like the first time we used the chipper. Opened up the top of the chipper to access the blade to make sure it was clear. Checked the bottom side of the blade to make sure that was clear. Then tried grinding up the small pile of leaves and twigs again and still, the chipper would not pull the material into the shoot and through the blade. Tried looking up troubleshooting techniques from the Amazon listing which only listed very basic common techniques which did not resolve the issue. Very disappointed in this purchase especially with the amount of time we were given to return the item. Received it on October 4 and return window closed on October 31. That's less than a month!! Most purchases I have made on Amazon, provide well over one month return time. Buyer beware! This product IS NOT worth the price listed! Good for one-time use ONLY. Save your money
