  • a full rubber outsole "wide width" zero drop shoe for the rest of us
Size: 11 Wide Color: Army Green
I've been looking for a wide zero-drop "sneaker" with a full rubber outsole for ages. I've been a Lems customer for years. The Lems IBR outsoles are fantastic for being lightweight, but not so good for long term durability. I gambled on these shoes after seeing several video log reviews. They are a third the price of comparable Lems shoes, so it was a gamble. The quality was absolutely amazing out of the box. They included a set of extra laces for both shoes, a set of Asitvo arch support insoles (orthopedic) in addition to the shoes themselves. They fit perfectly in my normal size, and the cushioning was just amazing. Aside from loosening the laces on both shoes to get a proper fit for each foot, that was all that was needed before they were ready to go. Very solid for walking, and gym usage. Everything about the shoes suggests high quality in the manufacturing process. I did not find a single defect in the shoes. For the money, I don't see a better value for a zero drop shoe. I would not call this shoe "barefoot", or "minimalist" because of the weight involved in the shoe, but it is zero drop. The simplest way to describe it is a zero-drop sneaker on par with standard footwear, which is exactly what I was looking for! ... show more

  • Great for Morton's Neuroma, cute colorway, and comfortable for walking
Size: 9 Wide Color: Blue
I have been considering getting a wide toebox shoe for a long time. I have a morton's neuroma (or a couple) in my left foot. Even regular wide width mens shoes don't work well for me. I am a very active mom in my mid 30s, so it has bothered me that I haven't been able to find an athletic shoe that actually feels comfortable. I decided to try these because they said they are mens width and have the wider toe box, and I personally like the zero drop for my foot and for working out. Most of the time, I order a mens 9.5 to attempt to get more room for my foot. I ordered the 9.5 and it was too big, so I returned those for my regular size, 9 in mens (10.5 in women's), and they fit great. I kind of wonder if I could go down another half size, but I decided not to. They allow the wides part of my foot to have plenty of space and not feel like the shoes are pushing in on the sides, and yet the shoe feels stable to me. If you are looking for something with a thick sole, this is not it. Definitely a true zero drop/functional shoe. I also bought this brand's training shoe, which I am happy with (and also fit the same - went with my normal size 9 mens). This version however is definitely more of a walking shoe. The sides aren't as sturdy as the training shoe... but I figure that is because this one is made for more light work/walking. Love the color! Matches our school and team colors and they don't look like ugly off-brand shoes. Can't beat the price either. Overall happy with the puchase! ... show more

  • Nice Shoes
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Dark Grey
These shoes have a lot going for them. They are comfortable, fit true to size, and have a nice, grippy sole. The dark grey uppers with rubber-colored sole looks good. My only complaint is that they do not open up very much, so it's a tight fit for me to get my feet into them. Once my feet are in, the fit is fine. Overall a good value. ... show more

  • Nice wide toe box for a relaxed feel.
Size: 10 Wide Color: Army Green
Awesome shoes! Nice and light weight, wide toe box and have held together so far. Only draw back i can find is the insole is a little to thin for my liking. I did replace the insole with a better one. Other than that these are a fantastic product.

  • Fit true to size. If anything, a tad small.
Size: 11 Wide Color: Black Oxford
I just received these. The zero drop idea is totally contrary to my idea of what I should be wearing for back pain, but I saw a video and it made some sense. The packaging is nice. Extra laces and a second set of insoles with more arch support. The fit seems true to size. I wish they offered half sizes. They are comfortable and have a bare foot feel. They appear to be well made. I'll report later on how my back likes them when I go walking. ... show more

  • Wide Feet Approved!
Size: 12 Wide Color: Army Green
I struggle to find a good pair of wide shoes for my husband all the time. And so far so good, no complaints! He loves how comfortable, and flexible they are and how well made they look. They did come with a pair of insoles that you can you use if you’d like. He prefers them without for day to day use, but so convenient that they provide those! ... show more

  • Primarily used for cycling, but... Primarily used for cycling, but...
Size: 12 Wide Color: Black Oxford
I wanted to try a zero drop shoe with an open toe box without spending the atrocious amount of money on they "trendy" brands just as an introduction and an all around, do anything shoe. The Astivo delivered on that front, slipping them on is like throwing a sock on, super simple and incredibly reasonable comfort considering the flat rubber base. Also included are two different in soles. One pair for flatter feet and one in you have more pronation and arch support. The shoe allows for a more natural barefoot movement, aiming for engagement out of your calves and overall posture, which during short walks is nice to not have the extra cushion to lean into giving me more feedback from my muscles and their limits. The main purpose I bought them was for bike riding, which they work great on Mtb pedals with the honeycomb grip, like a skate shoe really. But with minimal to no cushioning in the mid sole, toes tend to go numb after a few miles riding, but I attribute that to my foot position. Overall it's a comfortable shoe for the easy going that doesn't over complicate anything. It's there, and it works. Diving deeper, I find myself favoring the Astivos more and more. For walking, road trips, and general use. It's probably not a shoe I'd run in, however these really encourage better posture for me and offer lightweight flexibility. And if you're on the fence on this particular type of shoe, this is a great starting point. ... show more

  • light Feel but supportive enough with a wide toe area for comfort
Size: 14 Wide Color: Black
Out of 5 stars I'd give them a 3. I had a broken pinty toe that is healing on my left foot so I needed a shoe that had a wide toe area so that my toes wouldn't be compressed so I thought I'd try these. they come with an extra pair of arch supports, & an extra pair of shoe laces which is great. The shoes are a bit lighter than I expected & feel a bit flimsy but I guess that is the minimalist part of the shoe. who knows how long they will last but I have been wearing them for about 2 weeks & they are decently comfortable when walking around for casual wear. I would not wear these while running or walking on uneven slippery surfaces while hiking or anything like that because of the minimal feel & sole traction ... show more
