Voltage as received - 13.29 V I charged at a 2A rate and the BMS disconnected after only 0.103 AH and at 13.78V so the battery was shipped at 100% charge and the battery is fresh from the factory. The low disconnect voltage suggests the cells inside are not balanced. I discharged the battery at a 2.66A rate and it delivered 9.858 AH, or 123% of rated capacity. Very good! I then recharged the battery and it took 9.822 AH and the BMS disconnected at only 13.78V. Again, the low disconnect shows the cells inside are not balanced. Battery was then tested for current delivery and it had no issue with a 8A load and 16A load. Cranking up the load, the BMS disconnected at 32A. So the BMS works as intended. Summary - over delivers on AH rating (good) but cells are not well balanced. The bottom of the battery was dirty and scuffed also. The rest looked new, but the dirt on the bottom was a surprise. 1 star off for that.

This is going to be a short review because it doesn't need much. Simply put, if you need a replacement for an SLA in this format, get this one! I've ordered a number of these batteries recently and this one is my favorite so far! I threw it on my tester and did a full run and pulled almost 10ah out of it! on a battery this small that is awesome! So far no problems with BMS, I installed this in a UPS and it is now humming along happily keeping my router and modem up and running. At the current price of $26 it is cheaper than most of the SLAs it would be replacing! Best yet, its a bright neon green! But jokes aside this thing has been really great so far and I do recommend it!

Negative terminal was sticking further out than the positive terminal and the plastic seal material was cracked/damaged pretty sure it came from the factory that way. Battery functions I’m just concerned there may be an issue with the negative terminal in the future.

Used this to replace a lead acid battery. It works perfectly so far. It only weights about 1/3 of the old battery. This is so much better in terms of making the equipment lighter and easier to handle. The built in 10A BMS is also great to deliver enough power while provides enough protection during charging.

This is a plug and play replacement for most batteries in a UPS or other device that takes a 12V SLA battery of this size and terminal configuration. I plugged it into an APC BackUPS 350 that had already gone through its second replacement battery (SLAs don’t last that long). I then plugged it into the wall and let it charge up. Unfortunately, this particular UPS doesn’t have a display, so I couldn’t get any readouts on it. But after letting it charge overnight, the UPS turned on fine and didn’t complain. I don’t have a load handy to test the actual runtime, so I have to take the mfg at their word. It is a little strange to think that it’s 8AH but 1/3 or less the weight of the SLA that it replaced. Hopefully the BLM will help keep it optimally charged and running for years to come. Note that if you are looking at this for a cost savings, it will need to last nearly 2x longer to break event with SLA batteries. But if you are looking for a way to be lighter, the same capacity and not kill the pocketbook, this new rash of LiFePo batteries are worth considering.

The battery arrived in very good condition with foam packaging on all sides. Having used only lead acid batteries in the past, the lifepo4 battery was much lighter than I initially expected. A capacity test came out to 9.8 Ah with a C/5 discharge rate, which is much higher than the advertised capacity of 8 Ah. However, others have noted that their battery tested below 8 Ah with a lot of variance. The cutoff voltage is 14.12v when charging and 10.72v when discharging so it is quite a narrow band for lifepo4. In any case, this battery is a perfect fit for my low powered battery backup inverter, and It remains to be seen how long the battery will last.

I have a small desktop UPS that had a sealed lead-acid battery in it. Those batteries only last 3-4 years before they wear out. This one, based on the specs, should last 3-4 times that long. Really excited to try this chemistry out! It weighs less, lasts longer and has a safer chemistry than lithium ion.
