  • Works
Size: 12V 7Ah
The battery works ok but the manual is not clear. Manual states that all the bars should be lit when fully charged but seller stated that only 6 of the 8 would show a full charge. Also does not reach the voltage stated in manual but does charge to the 12.8 volts. Like the on/off switch. You can only use the terminals or the USB but not both at the same time. But it does what I need it to do ... show more

  • Works great as a battery backup for Arduino or Raspberry Pi Projects!
The media could not be loaded. I got this to use as a battery backup on an Arduino project. It works well for the purpose on the USB outputs as they provide regulated 5V power regardless of if the battery is charged, discharging, or charging. I was thinking it could also be useful as a battery backup for 12 volt projects, but unfortunately the 12 volt terminals fluctuate a lot when charging, so if you need stable 12volts while charging, I don't think it would be good for that, but if you needed just a 12volt battery powered project that didn't need to keep running when re-charging, then it would be good for that. One drawback to this is that everything is sealed inside, as they used a battery casing for this, so it's not very serviceable, you would have to cut it open if you wanted to do something like replace the switch. ... show more

  • Great 200AH for the price
Size: 12.8V 200Ah
Replaced my 80AH lead acid OEM battery on my trailer with this 200Ah LiFePO4 and it has been working great. Running my 40foot camper with residential refrigerator on batt for over 24 hours with no issues.

  • Dead on arrival
Size: 12V 7Ah
A tiny wire connecting the charging port to the battery was disconnected so it won't charge. Apparently there is no way to contact the seller. Amazon will send a replacement. If that works I will update the review. They sent a replacement. Unfortunately the battery does not supply sufficient current (amperage) to start the small motor I got it for. I guess it's back to an AGM battery that needs to be replaced every few years. ... show more

  • Good alternative to AA batteries for trail cameras.
Most of my trail cameras are 6V of 12V and eat up AA batteries 8 at a time. Changing out these batteries can get expensive and reduce the dependability of the cameras. An alternative to the standard 8-AA batteries is the use of a larger 12V or 6V battery or a solar panel with power storage incorporated. To use an external power source, most cameras have a female power jack. ... show more

  • Not much information provided with battery
So basically what we have here is a: 12V 84 Wh battery in a SLA form factor, with: - on/off switch - two 5V USB outlets - barrel connector for recharging, with a wall plug for charging - two terminals that output 12V It's a bit of an oddball product. If you're just using the 5V out, you might as well just get a USB battery pack. Testing the 5V out, the 5V out is unregulated. Strangely, when drawing little power, it outputs about 4.9V. As you turn up the current, the voltage also goes up, until about 2.2A where it's at 5.28V. Increase the current a little more, and it goes nuts, with voltage dropping to 3.4V and the LED display showing nonsense or going out altogether. If you need higher output, you're going to need to use the 12V terminals with a DC to DC converter. This seem like the best use for this battery - probably in something like a small robot. There's a couple of things that I wasn't sure about as it wasn't covered in the documentation: can it charge and supply power at the same time, and could it be recharged from the 12V terminals or only from the barrel connector? I suspect the answer is yes to the first and no to the second. Plugging and unplugging the AC adaptor did not interrupt the power flow to either the 12V terminals or the USB 5V connectors (unlike some USB battery packs, which will see a brief interruption in power). On the other hand, if I turn the switch off, it cuts power to the 12V terminals, but it appears that the battery continues to charge, which suggests that the 12V terminals are output only. I intend to use this as a UPS for my Raspberry Pi home server. It might be as straightforward as having it plugged in to AC while running a DC 12V to 5V converter from the 12V output. There will need to be some way to detect low battery charge, and again, no information is provided. While there is a LED battery guage built into the battery, having a camera or a light sensor monitoring that seems hardly optimal. Perhaps the voltage level will drop as the battery drains and that can be detected. I really wish there's more detains regarding the built in battery management. Overall, it's fairly lightweight and appears to work, with rough edges as pointed out above, but it's defintitely not a drop in replacement for a SLA. ... show more
