This is a pretty hefty 23Ah battery at a fair price. It's heavy but still a fraction of what a similar potency lead-acid battery would be. You need a lithium charger for it or you won't be able to get the full potential. It came in charged about 80% and my charger drove it up to 100% within an hour or so which left it sitting at 13.6V (after settling). I hooked it to a bright 12V LED headlamp and ran in down to the BMS cutoff point overnight (18 hours or so) and it seems like the 23Ah capacity is pretty valid. Note that with these intelligent BMS systems, when you run the battery down to BMS cutoff, they go into a protective mode that your charger may not be able to deal with. Your charger may say the battery is dead after that. You may need to 'jump' it with another battery momentarily to switch it back on before your charger can see it. Some chargers know how to do that by themselves. Mine don't and I have to jump the battery for a second or two to wake it back up after running it into the dirt. This is a big lithium iron phosphate battery with plenty of juice and a good BMS. I like the LED display that shows current voltage and state of charge. Recommended. ... show more

In general, this battery is a really nice battery. The case is well formed and the terminal screws are secure. The built in capacity/voltage indicator is easy to read and reasonably accurate. I was surprised when this battery not only met, but exceeded the stated capacity by almost 15% which is rarity among battery manufacturers. It seemed like this battery could do no wrong until I jiggled it and found that the internal cells are not secured and just flop around inside. Thus, this is a good battery if it'll be stationary and upright for it's life, but if you'll be using it on it's side or upside down and there's chance of movement, there's also chance of failure.     • Amazing battery that lasts despite Hurricane Debby's wrath!

Ordered: Style: 12V 23AH(30AH) I just picked up the battery right before Hurricane Debby went by my house and was very happy I had the battery. I have a 200 watt inverter that I was using with the battery to run my 70” tv and did an amazing job. My KWH meter showed the tv using anywhere from 80 to 120 watts running depending on the brightness of the screen and was able to use the tv just over 3 hours until I got the generator running. It showed I had 10% capacity left. I also am planning on using this battery pack to take out on my aluminum jon boat as I run a depth finder, navigational lights and some other basic electronics in the boat and this battery is both very lightweight and will run everything for days. Having the state of charge is very convenient but as an FYI I don’t believe it shuts off on its own, so hit the button again to turn it off so it doesn’t drain the battery. It also came with screws as well on top which was unexpected but a very nice touch! Overall, if you are looking for a medium capacity battery that is very lightweight and larger than the other 10Ah batteries that are more common, then this is the one for you! ... show more

The battery arrived nicely packaged, but without any literature. My discharge test suggested that the stated 30Ah capacity is correct, despite the case being labeled 23.4Ah. The meter seems to work quite accurately for voltage, rounding it to the nearest tenth of a volt. The SOC estimate it provides may need a little interpretation. In my run I discharged the battery at about 0.05C; for most of the discharge the meter overestimated the SOC, sometimes by quite a bit. (In the included graph, if the meter agreed perfectly with the SOC estimated from discharge, all the data points would be on the red line.) In other words, if you're planning on discharging the battery deeply, you may want to use something that measures how much the battery has discharged, or keep watch for the rapid fall in voltage as the battery approaches full discharge. Despite this, I think it's a nice battery--5 stars! ... show more

The battery arrived at 13.1 volts and 82% SOC. It handles a lot better than a lead acid battery and even started my Tahoe with a 5.3L V8 as a stand alone battery. Definitely worth getting if you need a reliable and powerful battery.
