I bought a 4 pack of these lights for around $25 each ($100 for a 4 pack or so) and they look superb. Installation was straight forward however the physical space for wires in the thin backer should NOT be a problem in most cases where you have a standard octagon or plastic light box, but in our case, a #12 wire was simply POKING out from the wall with no box and we couldn't fit the wire and wire nuts in the back of these lights. SO.... I improvised and used 3/4" AZEK stock to create a mounting frame that would also add space for the wiring and then painted it black to match the light fixture. It worked GREAT and solved our problem. This is not an issue if you're mounting it where a box and sufficient space exists , but was an added job for me. Nonetheless, I'm extremely happy with the outcome and the 6000K cool light really brightens up the walkways into and around the house. Great product at a great price. Seems to be a quality light but this is a very bright 6500k non-adjustable light. From the pictures I mistakenly thought it was adjustable with DIP switches but that is not the case. The picture was just a small, hard to make out, picture of a breaker box. So, just know that it is a fairly bright white light, and I wish it was adjustable to a bit warmer color tone. The other little frustrating issue I haven't quite figured out just yet is that the previous light was controlled by a separate dusk/dawn device mounted in the eve of the house which worked just fine. With this light it seems to stay on all the time which is annoying. I haven't figured out what is causing this, and it may not be the fault of this new light but just not certain why all of a sudden, the dusk/dawn sensor is not shutting off the electric to the new light? I had to mount it to an old metal light box embedded in brick so there will be a way for bugs and water to get through small openings into your light box. I'd recommend sealing with 100% matching color or clear silicon to prevent water or wasps, yellow jackets, hornets and whatever else getting in. The light seems to be well made and good quality but like another reviewer mentioned, the screws to snug up the light to the mount has tiny screws which are frustrating to work with and quite easy to drop or damage. (It would be great if they would use a different higher quality screw(s) for mounting purposes). ** Check the light brightness prior to mounting or cutting any of the wires so you can essentially return much easier if it's too bright for you. I had already cut back some of the cable and stripped the wires back so I didn't think it would be proper to send the product back after this fact. further so I opted to not return ... show more

These lights are made of metal backing with a plastic cover over the light really nice looking clean lines easy to hook up and replace your old lights can be mounted. I would say horizontally and vertically as well although I did them horizontally provides tons of light super bright, great for front and backyards will do the job perfect for a good price. ... show more
