After giving this bed time to expand, it still isn’t measuring up to 13 inches. I’m going to have to buy a topper so I can get rid of the weird step between our split mattresses. I bought this to replace a plush sleep science mattress. My partner wanted something firmer. Although this is better it’s still a little soft. It does offer more support than the previous mattress I had. It’s comfortable but the mattress is a little underwhelming. ... show more

It took me some time to put this matress to use but when I did the results were impressive. As you probably know, the mattress arrives compressed and once you free it from the outer wrapping audibly sucks in air until it rises to its final size, an amazing multiple of the thickness out of the box. But shipping and unpacking is a one-time thing while sleeping is a daily occurrence. How does it feel? I can't tell you much because as soon as I set it up another member of the household claimed it was her bed and took ownership! It was thus that the thing got the title of Hollywood Mattress. During my brief recumbency I gathered that it was soft and supportive. On the flat mattress sans pillow I had the uncomfortable sensation that my head was hanging backwards, which was annulled by a bit of serendipity: I had an extra-long matress and a standard frame which however had head and foot boards, thus stably accommodating the mattress with a bit of a rise at the head end of the bed. I'm not necessarily recommending this, but it seems to work out nicely for a bit of extra elevation and is quite comfortable. This is not an inexpensive product, but other than my only complaint is that I don't get to use it! If you are buying the just-fits-one twin size I strongly suggest not unpacking it or allowing anybody else to try it before you are ready to convincingly mark your sleeping territory, or you may find yourself thrown out of a bed. ... show more

So far, I have enjoyed this mattress. One thing I really appreciate is the 365-night home trial. It's comforting to know that I have time to really decide if it's right for me. In terms of possible improvements, I'd say the foam quality. It's not bad, but could be better. Overall though, it's been a good experience. ... show more

The mattress reflects my body heat back to me to an uncomfortable degree. Not sure if I will keep it or return at this time. I have tried several different coverings without success so far.
