I spent quite a bit of time reviewing wireless security cameras that come with a NVR. I narrowed it down to 3 possible choices and then decided on the OOSSXX. So far, it has proven to be very impressive. The 4 cameras immediately connected to the NVR. The picture quality is very good in the daylight. At night there is sufficient light to have the picture in color. The other 2 cameras are in a darker area so the picture is in black and white, but all are clear. It appears that the 4 TB NVR should hold more than 4 months of continuous recording for all 4 cameras which are 5 megapixel. I have contacted their tech support twice and both times I found them to be knowledgeable and helpful. I have the application loaded on my Samsung phone and so far it has worked well without any issues. I'm happy with their product and can highly recommend it to others. 9/19/24 update- I have had the OOSSXX security system for about a 19 months. During this time we have been very satisfied. The only issue has been that the video from one of the cameras would freeze. The signal strength for that camera was only one bar out of four. I contacted customer service at OOSSXX and they were very helpful. They sent a WIFI extender. I followed the directions supplied to get it up and working quickly. Now the signal strength is consistently three of the four bars. Now with a strong signal everything is working well. I could not be more impressed with the quality of the product, as well as with their customer service. I highly recommend OOSSXX.

Camera system is really easy to set up. The clarity of the system is clear during the day and night. If you’re looking for a system that’s affordable and that’s reliable, this the 1. I bought this in 2024 and never had issues until a squirrel chewed one of my plugs into pieces. I contacted customer service on July 15, 2026 and left a message explaining my issue. They responded in 20 minutes. They were very helpful and happy to help me. In the pictures you can see 3 of the 4 are working and how clear the pictures are. Due to it’s raining here in these pictures. Awesome product as well as customer service. 100% satisfied. 5 stars is not enough to know that my property is safe.

This OOSSX security camera system came with four wireless cameras and a base station containing a 4 TB hard drive. The cameras transmit audio/video wirelessly although you still need to find a place to plug in power for them since they are not battery powered. Range seems acceptable with the base station placed within my home about 40 feet away with several walls between. Be prepared to perhaps use some basic power tool skills to drill screws where you plan to install the cameras. Picture quality: I believe the cameras do output native resolution at 3K that you can view live, but I'm fairly certain what is actually recorded is much lower, perhaps 720p or even 480p (I haven't checked). Night vision also seems quite decent and allows for clear images even in complete darkness. User interface: The base station user interface is decent, albeit perhaps a bit clunky. There isn't great documentation for where exactly to find some settings so I found myself poking a fair amount into sub menus to find things, like how to invert the camera picture. The app (both on PC and Android) is also kind of clunky although I have no major complaints about it. The somewhat annoying thing about this system is that there are a decent number of settings that seem like they are only operable directly though the base station, which is kind of annoying since I don't have a permanent display attached to the base station. AI detection: So the most annoying part of this system that I'm docking a star for is the motion detection/AI features. This could be because I opted to not pay for cloud storage or analysis, but essentially the detection feature is waaaaaay to sensitive for me, even at the lowest sensitivity. Any leaves rustling, wind blowing things around, seems to trigger it. And it detects everything as a humanoid. It just makes it such that if you wanted it to alert you to something or you wanted to go back in the footage to find when someone appears, it would probably not be possible given the sheer number of identifications it throws up. Overall this isn't a dealbreaker bug for me given the decent price and ease of use, but it might be for you.

This is a great home security system. The video quality is clear, and the night images are detailed. We use the app to speak through the 2-way audio. Works very well! Simple installation. Strong Wi-FI connection with no signal problems or drops. Using an old computer monitor which displays multiple camera feeds at once. The app gives us easy, visual access to our property when we’re away from home. Five star product. Highly recommend. Very easy to set up, responsive customer service. I love that I don’t have to pay a monthly fee to have 120 days of storage. If you have electrical outlets in your soffit, like I do, these are a breeze to set up because you don’t need to run any cables. I do have one camera that I will need to run the power from an electrical outlet further away, but it won’t be a big issue. I was wondering how the wireless video transmission to the NVR would actually work, but it’s been no problem. Now my cameras aren’t at any great range (furthest is about 40 feet), but the wireless signal is going through brick with no issues. Picture is good for a security camera in both day and night. The light sensors pick up plenty of light at night so you can get a decent image. Keeping in mind the price of this product, I think it can’t be beat.

IVE HAD ENOUGH, TRYING TO FIND WHEN I WALK OUT A GATE 15 MINUTES AGO IS TAKING ME HALF AN HOUR. ANYTIME YOU CHANGE CAMERAS, BUY OUR STORAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE THIS THING AND THE DEVICE IS SLOW ON TOP OF IT ALL. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK! It's more of a buy our monthly cloud storage than a security camera system. Anytime you want to review footage it auto reverts to the cloud storage and asks for money/sign up image instead of going directly to the local storage. And if you are in local storage backed up at a time and want a different angle, then change cameras, it again asks you to get cloud storage and you reselect the local and refind the time you were at. UNBELIEVABLY INCONVENIENT. Then while looking through video, if you move the selector back even one second, it auto moves back around 16 seconds. If you pick any exact time, it always scrolls back about 16 seconds. This is very annoying. There seems to be no actual way to turn on or if it is on, differentiate when the cameras have detected motion. The entire review bar of all cameras is the same color meaning either no movement ever or non stop. Theres no way to have the cameras stay on HD playback, and it needs to be selected everytime. If you are speaking via a camera and attempt to change cameras, instead of auto hanging up and changing the camera, it tells you you must hang up first. As if the swipe over couldn't just do that. The storage is good and they were easy to install and get good signal strength. There are many short comings in the app, especially in the lack of worthwhile settings. The "advanced settings" in each camera is literally signal strength. Theres no option at all. There are so many of these systems now, finding one with a good interface is probably the real difference maker, and the changes this one has gone through with the app, make it eliminated from contention if I was buying today.
