I’ve tried the thermo cooler type but you still have to add ice or cold gel pack to maintain temperature but with this one you can easily control the temperature on your phone. Performance, quality, noise all are awesome but downfall is the way it opens.

I keep a cooler in my vehicle and use it regularly when grocery shopping. This cooler works perfectly for what I need. It’s so awesome that I can control the temp and it has a good amount of room to fit plenty of items. I also like that it is taller than my previous cooler, which offers more room for storage but takes up less space in my vehicle. I did need to reach out to the seller for a cord issue but they were great and very helpful. They responded promptly and were able to get me what I needed. I bought this for overland camping and it definitely does a good job at keeping items cool. You do need a power source like a Jackery, Bluetti etc or it will kill your battery after a day and a half. For the price, seems hard to beat since there are others out there that look the same. We shall see how long it holds up. Only one 4 day weekend on it so far. ... show more

Bought this for vacation. It's advertised as having a "Fridge zone" and a "Freezer zone", even though there is only 1 temperature adjustment. We didn't need anything frozen so I set the temperature to 33 degrees. The temperature display, even in a temperature controlled environment would fluctuate between 27 degrees and 39 degrees which concerned me, this was before the trip. During the trip we left sodas and lunch meats in the cooler instead of relocating them the the condos refrigerator as there was limited space. After a week when we arrived home I removed an unopened container of lunch meat and noticed the sealed package was swollen and upon opening smelled rotten. The lunch meat was stored in the fridge section the entire time. I put a wireless thermometer in the freezer part for about 3 hours and over that 3 hours it slowly dropped to 27.9 degrees, it was still set to 33 degrees. I then moved it to the fridge section and the temperature in less than an hour was over 47 degrees and over the next 4 hours leveled around 51.6 degrees. This is an unacceptable temperature for refrigerated foods. Now for the best part, I requested a refund and they sent me a shipping label and instructions, however it required postage to be paid by me to return the cooler. Took it to the USPS and it cost me $143 dollars to ship it back to get my "refund"! Don't ever buy anything from this company! ... show more

I've had this refrigerator for only a day, so this is my first impressions unboxing and testing without any food inside. The instructions clearly say let the fridge sit in its normal orientation for a day before plugging it in and trying to make it cool. I don't know how, but this is a must! I immediately pulled it out of the box after FedEx dropped it off and plugged it in using the supplied 120v cords to see how fast it would cool off. It started at 53°F out of the box and I set it to chill down to 0°F. After running for 3 hours it went UP to 63°F. 😬 I finally read the instructions and saw it needs to sit for a day before using. (I am guessing it has some built in angular cutoff safety device that gets jostled in shipping) So I unplugged everything and let it sit overnight. The next morning I tried again and it cooled down from 63°F to 0°F in only 17 minutes! (Empty) I have a camping trip planned in a couple weeks where I will load it up and really see how it performs on 12v power for 5 or 6 days. ... show more

The Ekojuce 48qt car refrigerator/freezer is an excellent unit. It has a powerful compressor and cools fast. I purchased a smaller 32qt car refrigerator freezer and it was not powerful enough to cool down fast. This 48qt unit has a large compressor and will drop the temp quick. It will drop the temp 60 degrees in 20 minutes. 90 degrees to 30 degrees inside my van in the Florida heat. The temperature is very accurate and has a light inside of it. The app works great for monitoring inside temperature. You can also increase, decrease temp and adjust the unit from Max to Eco modes. I use it in my camper van and power it on 12 volt DC on my portable power station. It draws about 55-60 watts on max when cooling down and then I switch over to eco mode and the unit only draws about 35-40 watts. I can freeze this unit down to -07 degrees It comes with both and AC power cord and DC power cord. If you dont want to deal with melting ice in a cooler. This Ekojuce 48qt Refrigerator freezer is the way to go. ... show more
