This cast iron skillet is cooking. One of the best I have ever owned. Wish I had bought this sooner. After a really good seasoning, it is beautiful and ready for use. It is nice and heavy and won’t move around while in use. Over time it will become a nonstick skillet. Well worth the price.

I was a hesitant to purchase this pan. I am not familiar with the name and the inclusion of holders, lid, and scrubber/scrapers made the price a little to good to be true. Granted I have only used it a few times so far, it has exceeded my expectations. The pan is well made and virtually indistinguishable from any other cast iron pan I have. I did take the time to wash and season the pan as described on the box and in the cookbook and it cooks well. As with most cast iron it should continue to improve with more seasoning. The glass lid fits/works well but I would not use it over 350 degrees as I do not believe it can handle the higher temps. It does require you to install the handle which comes in a separate bag. The silicone holders work well but the heat can overcome them if holding a hot pan for more than a few minutes. When installed the holders are not a tight fit. They are a little loose which makes popping them on and off easy but also allows them to move while on the pan. Overall I am happy with this setup. It performs well and includes everything I needed to cook and care for the pan. ... show more

This pan is the perfect size for me to cook our families meals. I love the lid and silicone holders that came with it. It came seasoned and ready to go! The sides of the pan are at the perfect height so food doesn’t spill over and they aren’t sloped so it maximizes the ability to hold more!

Got this for my son who is teaching himself to cook. He loves it. Tough, durable, easy to clean, and because it is deeper than most skillets, you can prepare a variety of dishes in it! The rubber handle covers come in handy as well! Would highly recommend!

This is a Christmas gift so I haven't used it myself but I will say it was delivered a day earlier than expected and the box was in good shape even though it was only the product box itself and not in another box. One reason I purchased this item was because it had the 2 silicone handles, plus glass cover, plus a scrubber, and bonus online cookbook all for a very reasonable price which was much less than any other place I looked. ... show more

So the pan is not Pre-Seasoned, it even says so in a flyer that was packed with the pan. The pan comes with a light coating to prevent rust, but is not season in the seance of being a sealed, "non-Stick" coating, cast iron seasoning. I went ahead and striped the pan, down to the metal, then added 6+ layers of flax seed. After the seasoning the Pan developed a deep shiny black finish, and looks amazing. However the non-stick factor was only mediocre. I have a feeling its due to its rough casting finish , so hopefully with a decade of use and good maintenance the pan will act like those higher quality expense cast irons. The other down side was the lid. I was hoping to have a glass lid, or something that could go in the oven. The lid has a cheap plastic feel. However it did fit my pan good. I read a couple of reviews complaining about fitment. Lastly were the add on's. The chain male, had few open loops and is not as nice as those seamless soldered versions. I would be worried with it scraping the coating off my pan. The silicon handles are OK. They feel a little loose at times, and can be awkward when trying to maneuver the pan, since the pan will rotate inside of the silicon handle without the use of the helper handle. So yes it has a few negatives, but for the price its a good size pan. ... show more
