Due to recent aerial predations, I purchased this enclosure and henhouse combo to add an additional layer of protection to what’s currently left of our flock. Overall I’m extremely happy I did. For the price you get good value, space, ease and sturdiness. The henhouse itself is quite welcome as it has helped our five hens manage their egg laying with far fewer squabbles by offering an alternative to the main coop. Another nice thing about it is that I was able to put it together by myself quite easily. While originally we had been sent a henhouse with a split in the front panel of wood (see attached photo) all it took was one quick email to the company and they kindly shipped a replacement henhouse the very next week, no hassle or haggling. (Excellent customer service!) Moving on to the enclosure, while it did prove a two-person job, we were pleased that all the parts fit well and each of the pre-drilled holes were well made and placed. We had zero issues with building the structure. Trimming and zip tying the chicken wire will always be the more time consuming and challenging task, but again, with two people it makes a world of difference. It took us a total of four hours start to finish (with a couple breaks) to build both henhouse and enclosure. For reference, we found the chicken wire to be the same if not slightly better quality than anything we’ve gotten from the farm supply or our local home improvement stores in the past. I also feel compelled to point out because of some of the other reviews that we’ve likely received an updated design because we didn’t have any of the gate door gaping that others have commented on. Chickens needed more space outside the hen house, this will work for a while. Frame assembly was easy, wrapping chicken wire was more difficult, used more zip-ties than provided. Received before expected, satisfied with purchase over all.

For the price I paid I'd expect it to be a lot more sturdy. The poles bent easily and the holes do not line up. I would not spend money on this again.

Was easy to put up, no issues there. However 2 pieces are missing from the frame itself, one of the leg stabilizers was too long, had to chuck it. On the little house, everything was great except the flooring on the nesting box, the cut out part was on the wrong side. Had to cut out the section to make it fit. On the last note, put something so things don’t dig underneath, but the last straw for us was something broke off the zip ties along the bottom or scooted them over and ripped the wire up and got in. Killed all my birds. Selling to someone else with less animal problems. ... show more

Hen house: Poorly assembled, poorly packed, broken upon arrival. workers must be paid by the piece as the hen house was obviosity made fast and cheap. Buy something else if you do not have the miens to do repair work out of the box. Short wood screws, cheap hinges and heavy lids leads to lids coming breaking off before build completion. Chicken run: Not bad. Wire mesh is thin but seems strong. Reinforced the door because of my dogs. Easy assembly. Buy LOTS of quality zip ties. I would not trust the plastic ones included. Phots are of the final product. At best it's a 2.5 stars. If no work was required to make it useable. 4,2 stars. might be best to look elsewhere. ... show more

Out all the kits, this is by far the best. Incredibly sturdy with additional center poles and corn braces and ground anchor ties. There is nothing iv found like ot for the price. Good quality steel, the chicken wire is rust proof amd by the end there is plenty extra. Very pleased, will be buying more. They are hard to come in this hight. My only note, is measure first because the width was less than inch off, but that inch is everything for a perfect finish. ... show more

Overall this is a really decent chicken coop. The pros, it’s large and the chicken wire is real metal and there is more there than you need! It does allow for about 7” to go into the ground if you follow directions and the frame comes with ground spikes to hold it in. The tarp is flimsy at best and ripped the first windy day we had. The coop isn’t bad decent sized, I have 8 chickens we will see if it’s large enough. The coop is not very thick wood and the bottom isn’t held into place.
