My parents have an old bed frame that really has just a wooden slats underneath, and they never liked how tall a box spring made the bed feel. Once we got it set up my mom actually kissed my head and said a little prayer over how much better the mattress felt. That's about the best endorsement I can give it. I'm not totally sure what's inside the fabric cover, my guess is some kind of thick cardboard or fiberboard, but it's thick enough that I have no doubt about it holding up over time. A little give also seems like it would work better than something completely rigid anyway. Install took about 10 minutes with two people, though most of that time was really just moving the mattress out of the way and back again. Pros: 1. Feels solid once the mattress is on top 2. Well made, doesn't feel flimsy despite being light 3. Fixed the sagging problem caused by the wooden slats 4. Fairly quick to install with two people Cons: 1. Comes in two pieces instead of one, so they can shift a bit while you're lowering the mattress back into place

Installation wasn't too painful since wife and I took the time to clear out everything and work together. Fit our bed frame well, and was easy. At first I was slightly disappointed out of the box because it was two panels at potential support issues, but it hasn't been a factor. I do HIGHLY suggest airing it out though as it has a stinky fish oil manufacturing smell that goes away pretty quick. With the wife and I working on it while also doing a little bit of room cleaning, it really didn't much time at all. Material quality is really good. Solid core, easy to move around despite being boards, and easy to wipe down and clean. While it's still too early to tell long term wise, it has been nice sleep on this and a noticeable improvement rest wise. I rather wait a while to say if it's incredible or not, but immediate initial reaction is positive. If it proves long term to be a good add on, I would happy to pay this price again too make sure other beds have this option at the house.

Game changer!!!! Ok so this is one of those things I didn’t know I NEEDED, until I got it. I didn’t even know these existed, until I stumbled upon it. I recently switched from a mattress and box spring combination. To simply a mattress on wooden slats/bedframe. I use to sleep so good and wake up feeling fine. But after the switch up I found I was always waking up with body aches. I wasn’t making the connection. Then I stumbled upon this and decided to try it. Thinking it would make my bed more sturdy. Lo and behold what it did was even better- somehow it made the body aches stop. I guess I am super sensitive to any spaces left unsupported under my mattress and this solid mat eliminates those spaces allowing my body to relax and wake up without stress. I would one thousand times over buy this again!

Our queen mattress needed a little more support, so I wanted to try this instead of replacing the entire bed base. Installation was quick. It unfolded easily, and once the mattress was back on top, the boards felt solid and did what they were supposed to do. Unfortunately, everything else left me disappointed. The biggest issue was the smell. As soon as I opened the package, there was a very strong odor that honestly reminded me of a public restroom cleaner. I left it out to air for quite a while, hoping it would fade, but it never really did. The boards themselves arrived inside nylon bags, but the bags weren't sealed, which didn't feel hygienic for something that's going directly under a mattress. I also wasn't a fan of the design. The support comes in two pieces, so it tends to shift around while you're lowering the mattress back into place. There are no straps or Velcro to keep them fixed to the bed slats, which would have made use much easier and prevented them from moving while changing bed sheets. It does provide some support once everything is in place, but again, you need to make sure it didn't shift in the meantime. However, between the strong odor, the unsecured two-piece design, and its being unsealed, we decided to discard it as we didn't feel comfortable sleeping on it. At this price, there are plenty of other bunkie boards available that don't come with these compromises.

⭐⭐⭐ The Buzyjoy 10mm Foldable Queen Bunkie Board gets the job done for basic support, but it definitely has a few trade-offs to keep in mind. At 60" x 80", the queen size fits the frame dimensions well. There is no assembky, just open the box, unfold them and lay them on the frame. Keep in mind that it is quite thin at only 10mm, it gives just enough firm support under the mattress to prevent noticeable sagging, but don't expect a thick or heavy-duty wooden foundation. Materials & Build Quality: The materials are decent for the price. The Oxford fabric cover feels durable and does a good job keeping things quiet without any annoying squeaks or noises when moving around. The Main Issue for us: Unfortunately, the biggest drawback is stability. The board and mattress constantly slide around on the bed frame, so we spend way too much time pushing the mattress back into place to keep it sitting evenly. Overall, it provides decent, low-profile support, but the constant sliding can get pretty frustrating.

I think this bunkie board is helpful, in general. I got Queen size, for a bed and frame of that size. It's a heavier box of two separate panels, both folded into thirds. No directions or guidance, but we tried both directions and it just doesn't quite fit. The frame has a few displaced slats, which is why we got it as suggested in the listing, but it was still several inches short of the frame. I just thought if it was to help the frame support the bed that it should match the size of the frame or mattress. It's fairly sturdy and should help with noise reduction, but the price seems awfully high to me.
