These boards have been great as they gave support to a bed that had very wide rails. Which was fine with the mattress we had before but the new one was memory foam only and sank between the bars. It made the mattress very unstable. So when I saw these boards I ordered them hoping it would fix our problem and it did so wonderfully. The boards come in two foldable strips. The ones we received are blue fabric with tiny silicone dots on them to keep them from sliding. They zip around the outside so you can take the covers off the boards for cleaning or washing. The boards themselves seem to be of a tough honeycombed plastic material, but don’t bend. Each board is close to 1/4 thick. They are very lightweight. Even with lifting both strips of boards together they were easy to pick up and put into place.. Ours fit across the bed lengthwise and went over the entire area, minus less than an inch on all sides. The only thing I wish was there was some way to tie the set of boards together so they don’t end up sliding apart in the middle. But so far the non slip dots have kept it from moving. I am very happy with this order and would get them again for sure. They have saved our bed so are worth the price!

Wish I had these bunkie boards before getting rid of my daughter's bunk bed. She had one of those space saving bunks with the desk space at the bottom and it was the most uncomfortable bed ever. This would have made a lot of difference back then. I actually got this for our guest bedroom upstairs that has a low profile platform bed. When she has sleepovers they use the upstairs room and it gets a lot of abuse from jumping and whatnot. This works to add an extra layer of protection and reinforcement. It's not as bulky as I imagined it would be. It actually comes in two foldable pieces so not difficult to move and much easier to put in place. The material inside looks like some type of heavy duty plastic. Whatever it is, it's extremely sturdy and hard while it weighs almost nothing. There is some rustling noise, but not bad once the mattress is placed back on top. It probably adds about half an inch of height to the bed. Overall, a cost effective solution for prolonging the life of a bed. If you're looking to save and not spend on new furniture just yet, this is extremely effective. What I didn't realize is that there are two different sizes for the queen size. I assumed a queen size was just one standard size. This turned out just a tad bit shorter, but still works for me.

I purchased the queen-size version of this bed support. In hindsight, I probably should have ordered the large queen size, as this one does not fully cover the length of my bed vertically. Even so, I was still able to use it effectively without any major issues. The material covering the support board has grip dots or raised bumps on both sides. These grips not only prevent my mattress from sliding, but they also help keep the board itself securely in place. This feature has worked very well for my setup. I use a memory foam mattress, which I already find very comfortable, but adding this support board underneath seems to provide extra stability and support. It has noticeably improved the overall feel of the bed, making it feel more secure and evenly supported. Overall, despite the sizing issue, I am very pleased with the performance and added support this bed support provides.

This bunkie board was just what I needed for extra support beneath my shikibuton (which is not on the floor). Be careful with sizing as the queen size I ordered was a tad shorter than my bed (though it still works). There are two queen sizes available. Recommend!
