This inverter is a great buy! I installed it into my truck camper to run a small 120VAC Fridge/Freezer from a Group27 Deep Cycle Battery. The inverter ran the fridge for 3 days without any issues. It supplies enough surge power to get the compressor running with a struggle or blown fuses. It's installed, tucked down under a cabinet, and is very quiet during use. The remote display is feature-packed and shows voltage, power, operating temperature and load information that is updated in nearly real-time (a few millisecond delay). It is bright enough for easy viewing during the day and can be turned off at night to provide darkness while sleeping. The inverter is easy to mount with the integrated stand-off brackets that provide 4 screw holes that are easily accessed from the top. The "smart" fans stay off until the unit reaches a set temperature where cooling is necessary. Unfortunately, the included battery cables were too short for my installation needs and went unused. Keep in mind if you install this inverter more than a few feet away from the battery source, a heavy gauge of cable should be used to prevent overheating and a DC voltage drop. Reference a wiring chart to confirm the size you need, but larger cables are always better in this situation. The included battery terminal covers help prevent accidental shorts from conductive materials. I tested the inverter under heavy load, and it seems to perform well and at the rated spec. Also, the battery cutoff voltage is true to spec, which is a feature that has been a problem in other inverter models I've reviewed on Amazon. The voltage displayed on the remote-control panel are true voltages, which were confirmed with a reliable multimeter. Again, other inverters have been shown to display values that are off by 10-15% which is unacceptable for my use-case. This inverter would pair nicely with a 400Watt solar/battery bank setup for long term use while camping off-grid.

I received my 1500 watt pure sinewave Inverter in short order. It was easy to install. However, the remote controller did not display any data. I contacted Captok via email for tech support. They responded the same day. I received a new cable and remote controller in just a few days, but it did not resolve my issue. Another email. Captok sent me another complete inverter kit. The new inverter and remote controller works perfectly. I have not received customer service of this high quality for a very long time! Their response and action was OUTSTANDING! Highly recommended. Would not hesitate to buy from Captok again. Thank you for talking such good care me. Rick G Barton

Connector wires are less than 3 feet long...from front seats to battery is at least 3.5-4 feet (not including corners and other obstructions. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FACT THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT TAKE THE AVERAGE DISTANCE FROM INTERIOR FRONT SEATS TO BATTERY UNDER THE HOOD. VERY INCONSIDERATE - especially for the price I paid and the brand I purchased. Quickly returned. This unit would work on a Power Wheel not a vehicle the DOT approves.

I am giving this inverter two star only because it worked perfectly before a max load test, but subsequently failed spectacularly before even reaching 75% load, rendering the unit useless and queued for return. Load test details: I had my inverter hooked up to four deep cycle AGM batteries wired in parallel for a 12 V current input (my specific unit was the 2000W 12V to 110V unit.) after unboxing an installation, inverter worked perfectly at initial testing loads of less than total combined 500 W- phone, fan, lights, misc electronics. I was actually quite impressed at how cool the unit ran, it never threshold and beyond a 30°C range and stayed incredibly quiet, even with both fans at full speed. However, as any hobbiest / electrical engineer knows, the true quality control is testing the upper threshold and limits of the units specifications through max load testing. While the unit was incredibly impressive out of the box and during my first 30 minute test at less than 500W, problems started kicking in once I increased the load to 750 to 1000 W range. While the unit would not fault or shut down completely, it would enter a soft shut down and stutter in this wattage range. Once I increased the load to 1200 to 1500 W, the unit, outright shorted, shut down, and is now in a permanent error cycle. For a 2KW inverter this is simply unacceptable- I think the highest reading before the final error cycle was 1560 W. A good 400 W before max load is even reached. This speaks to the cheap internal circuitry and hardware which is incapable of handling true load. As a final note, I made every attempt to locate the manufacturer to reach out to them for support, but they are unable to be found anywhere on the Internet which tells me that these are Chinese mass-produced and sub-branded units , and subsequently little to no end user support. I would happily perform the repairs myself, but without any additional literature, manuals, or technical support, I am forced to do a return and leave this review. I will be spinning, the extra money to go with Renogy for my replacement inverter, if nothing else because of the ability to find support and assistance with any troubleshooting.

It’s been working flawlessly for the past month. The displays are spot on regarding output power. The remote display is very helpful as the inverter is tucked away. Integrated bluetooth monitoring would be awesome, but not required.
