This metal water hose is awesome it doesn't leak and if it does tighten it up just a tad more and be sure the included washer is inside the end. It is super lightweight and even the longest one can be lifted with one hand rolled up. The best part is it doesn't kink and is easily maneuverable. It is dog-resistant for chewing or bite marks. The metal protects the inner lining from punctures. The brass fittings are 3/4 inch but the interior hose is smaller maybe 5/8 but I still get good water pressure and a good jet stream from that setting on my sprayer handle. I do not see myself going back to rubber hoses. The most common diameter for residential garden hoses is 5/8 inch diameter and is suitable for general watering tasks like watering plants, washing cars, and filling pools. ... show more

    • Good quality, good for preventing animals from biting holes in your hoses for water
I've went through a couple of expandable hoses last year because I like to leave them out in the lawn for easy flower bed watering, but in the hot, dry weather, animals would bite them to find water. Then a neighbor decided to do me a favor and mow some of my lawn, but didn't notice my thick red rubber hose, and cut it to pieces with his tractor mower. I finally settled on a cloth hose, which seems to work OK so far, but then I saw this on Amazon. It only leaks a drop here or there from the end gaskets, but that's probably because I don't want to crank the connectors hard. The quality feels very good, and it's more flexible than I'd expect for a metal hose. I'm sure I won't have a problem with animals biting through this thing! My only concern is that it'll warm up the water a lot in the hot sun, but other hoses do that, too. Also I'll have to be careful to put it against the house when I leave it out so that the neighbor doesn't run over it with his lawn mower. It might tweak his blades this time. But overall, I'm sold! I'll be looking for a longer one to replace the cloth one soon, as my lawn seems to have more bunnies and a gopher this year. I'll try to add a photo or video to this post soon. ... show more

This Qinghuai 10 Foot Stainless Steel Clad Garden Hose is very high quality and well built. It is very lightweight, easy to carry and easy to coil. The hose design has a nice tendency to prevent any kinks. The exterior stainless steel cover seems very durable and offers good protection for the hose and lays flat well. It is perfect for my purposes, as I primarily will use it for the garden and for car washing, and the hose must stretch across a rock drive, with sharp edged stones. The steel cladding should protect the interior hose well, even if run over by a car, which has been known to happen. The solid brass connectors are smooth operating and the textured handles are very useful for the grip they provide when attaching the hose to the spigot and when attaching to other hoses. The price point is very reasonable, considering the quality of this hose and the protection that the steel cladding affords it. I expect this hose will have a good long service life. This is my new favorite hose for sure. Over the years I've gone through so many, and I've tried them all. None of them seem to hold up very long when exposed to the sun for a good amount of time. But with this one I have not had that problem with yet and I'm hoping that this will be the last hose that I ever have to get. In fact, I will get nothing but these kind of hoses from now on due to their durability and stylish looks. Installs just like a regular hose and you can even roll it up like a regular hose. Excellent hose. All I needed was a to connect a difficult to get to faucet on my house to a new hose rack about 8 feet away. This hose connected very easily for this old lady by hand. I rolled my new long hose on the hose roller, then connected it to this metal hose, and had an easy water source! This garden hose is worry free, lightweight, kink free, leak free resistant to stepping on, dog nibbling, weed-wacking cuts, etc. Haven't needed the extra washers but they are appreciated for down the road when they may need replacing at the faucet connection to help prevent leakage. I'm going to be dropping a water line in a trench so I have water by my garden, but I can't tap into the existing plumbing, so I needed a short hose to connect the pipe to the existing spigot. This 10' hose should do the trick! It's lightweight, durable, and flexible. I can't speak as to longevity since I haven't had it that long, but I'd say it should be able to stand up to our hot Southern summers no problem. And it screws onto the spigot fine, with zero leaks. As a plus, it comes with three extra rubber washers in case the first one wears out over time, and also some plumbers tape in case your spigot threads are rough.
