These are not light doorknobs. They are really well-crafted. I got these because the arthritis in my thumbs was making it difficult to turn regular door knobs. This still takes a bit of force, but not grasping/pinching force, so they are working out well. The resistance is enough that my cats have not been able to open the doors yet, which was one worry I had about replacing traditional knobs with the lever style; one of the big ones is fascinated by the garage; we try to keep him in, but that would be very difficult if he could turn the knob. ... show more
