This handle is a little better made than another similar styled handle that I got recently. Slightly heavier, mechanism feels better, edges of the handle are more smoothed, four supporting posts inside vs two, the mounting screws are better quality/not as soft and are positioned above and below the handle rather than in the other direction with one under it. Not a big deal but makes it a little easier to install. It's a very nice handle. Feels solid, comfortable in hand, and works well. Opens and closes smoothly. About the right amount of spring tension. Lock works fine and is easy to unlock from the closed side if you ever need to. Finish is just OK. Looks to be hand done and there's some inconsistency. But I've finished lots of brushed metal. Most won't ever notice it. Matches the brushed nickel finish of other doorknobs and faucet in the same room well. The only issue that I had installing it to replace an existing knob is that the cylinder was just a bit too large to slip in. I had to ream it out slightly larger. Also for use replacing an existing knob, it would be better if the square surround was slightly larger to better cover marks where the edges of the previous round knob trim was. A little stain covers that fairly easily though. Good installation instructions are provided including a template. Overall, very happy with this knob. Somewhat more expensive than others that I've bought recently but still reasonably priced and generally better quality I think.

I recently replaced an interior door with this brushed nickel privacy door lever, and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. The square design looks modern and clean, and the brushed nickel finish is beautiful - it matches our hardware perfectly and gives the doors a nice upgraded look. 4.5 would probably be a 5, but I just feel like the lock could be better. These Brotima levers are surprisingly heavy-duty and feel very sturdy once installed. The brushed nickel finish looks modern and high-end. One standout feature is that it includes a door cutting guide and hole saw placement template. I didn’t need it since I was replacing an old knob, but for a "virgin" door, that is a massive time-saver that many other brands don't include. My only minor gripe is the locking mechanism; it feels a bit lightweight/cheap compared to the rest of the handle's build. Also, a word of caution to pet owners: the lever is so easy to operate that my cat has already figured out how to open the door! If you have a clever pet, you might want to keep that in mind.

I changed my first doorknob! That's how easy it was to do with this handle set. The weight and appearance are a great quality and value for the money. The locking mechanism works very well. I don't have to look for a pin tool like I did with my other knob. The lock tab is big enough for hands with dexterity issues to be able to do. I did have to chisel and lower the doorplate, but we had to lift our other handle to get it into the plate before. Since I had tools out and was changing the plate to brushed nickel, I chiseled it lower a little. Even my hubby was surprised. Of course, now it looks like you can see our old round knob imprint. It doesn't bother me though. I like the lever for when I'm carry a laundry basket. It's easier to open the lever, either with my hand, my basket or even my foot. It's a great upgrade from my gold knob from 2001. The heft of the handle gives confidence in its durability. Even if not, it's a great price to get more.

We’ve been updating door hardware on all our doors and recently purchased an entry door set from this same brand. I like it so much I want to replace all the knobs on our interior doors to match. I love the lever handle versus a knob, it’s so much easier for older hands to grasp and if my hands are full I can still open the door. This is very heavy and you can tell it’s well made. The brushed nickel finish is beautiful and looks fantastic. The only issue we had is that the part that goes in from the side of the door doesn’t fit, it’s too big. So we have to drill that out on all our doors and that adds time and effort to the project. It is a bit more expensive than some others at around $20 but I don’t mind paying more for a better quality fixture, it’s definitely worth it.

Works well for a simple bedroom or bathroom doorknob! Doesnt match the esthetic of the house but i like the style of it none the less! Was easy to install an operate. The lock can be unlocked from the outside with a coin if need be which is nice incase the kiddos lock ya out of the room it is installed on. (happens alot) The material seems durable and sturdy with the solid door that i installed it on. It fit the door quite well an does not have any wobble.
