Good price, they don’t look too bad either however I am not sure they did anything haha. Maybe I need to cover the entire wall with them. Seems like you need to commit and go all or nothing with room treatment panels to really hear the difference. Giving 4 stars as it may be user error.

Soundproofing and acoustic treatment are unfortunately used interchangeably even though they are very different things. Sound proofing is adding mass and space to a room to reduce the vibrations into other rooms, thereby removing noise. Acoustic treatment is the act of adding sound absorbent material and mass to your wall to keep sounds from reflecting in your studio space, ie echo. These being panels, and thin panels, at that, they will do very little to nothing to reduce noise in other parts of your home/office. They are however, depending on your space and how many you get, are a very good and affordable way to reduce the sound reflections in your room. I bought the 10 pack and I have the perfect balance of acoustically dead with just a little bit of room noise. The panel I put on my window makes the AC unit outside virtually silent. They have greatly improved my recording quality by reducing reflections and keeping out a small amount of noise. Do your research to accomplish your sound goals for your space. While more expensive than DIY, these are a very affordable alternative for people who aren't super handy.

I bought 2 packages of these intending on covering more wall space than i was actually able to. And, that was because their measurements are quite wrong. These measure 47-1/4 x 23-5/8!! When you're expecting to be able to get two 24" pieces out of one panel and can only get one, it's an expensive scrap that you're left with. The positive side of these is that they are very nice looking. You do need a very sharp utility knife and a straight edge to cut them. They do come with very nice, thick adhesive squares. I'm not sure how cleanly they'll come off of a wall if you aren't a homeowner. They were super sticky! These panels help deaden sound or muffle sound vs being a total sound absorber. We have them on an adjoining bedroom wall (well, only part of the wall because of the size issue!). Instead of hearing words from a conversation in the other room, it was more like Snoopy's teacher. Waah waah waah. So, I'd recommend them if you go into it knowing you aren't getting the size they say in their description. That 3/4s of an inch in length is huge, expensive difference! I'm not willing to pay for a third box to complete the project. You'll see from my pictures that we just used them in a corner.

Online it says the only material used is polyester, but the box clearly says “high quality glass fiber is the main raw material”. Aka FIBERGLASS. Unfortunately I didn’t see this until after I’d already cut and installed 6 panels, and had skin, eye, and airway irritation from handling the material without gloves, safety goggles, or a mask. Would appreciate an explanation from the seller, as this can cause serious health problems. And even if the box is incorrectly labeled and it actually is polyester, there should be a warning about using proper PPE when handling.

I moved into a first floor apartment where there is a pipe in the wall behind my headboard and when someone above me uses water, I could hear it running down the pipe inside the wall. I installed these panels by just standing them up behind my headboard and pushing the bed up against them to hold them in place. Now I can just barely faintly hear the pipe. So for my purpose of blocking sound coming from inside a wall, they worked great! Best part is I didn't attach them, so I can take them with me when I move. Also they look great. Just a subtle black behind my headboard.
