  • Very roomy but not easy to assemble
DEAR AMAZON, I AM NOT GOING TO RETURN THIS BUT HAVE DECIDED TO KEEP IT AND YOU CAN KEEP THE REFUND. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY TO CONTACT YOU ABOUT THIS, WHICH IS RATHER BAFFLING. This is the third shed that I have bought from this company. The first one was small, the second one was slightly larger, and this is the biggest one I have purchased to date. The assembly directions for the first two were very good while the directions to this particular one were horrible. It took two of us to figure out what the directions actually meant and then to hold the lid in place in order to mount the lid. The packages of screws are not labeled. Approach the assembly of the shed very carefully and test your assumptions as to how to assemble it every step of the way. It does take two people with a little bit of experience to be able to assemble it. The pictures have to be looked at very carefully in order to determine how something might fit or how it might be screwed in or where it needs to be screwed in. Once assembled it is very nice. The struts for the lid do an excellent job of holding the lid exactly where you choose to leave it. It appears to be weathertight just like my others that I bought years ago. When fully closed up I doubt that the smallest ant could get in. Even though the directions were absolutely horrid, the end result was very good. I wish the company would go back and look at some of the directions it used to provide years ago. The company has gotten lazy and must be trying to save on paper or something. I strongly advise that no one try to set this up alone. There was a half inch diameter puncture in the lid that did not go all the way through. This was an easy fix because I bought some waterproof putty and pushed it into the hole. The putty formed nicely into the puncture and is definitely stronger than the plastic of the lid. I am still giving it five stars because once assembled it is an excellent shed. ... show more

  • Would be a 5 but picture was wrong in advertising
Love the shed but I gave it a 4 star because in the picture it shows it will have 3 shock absorbers on the lid but there is only 2. I can already see they will not last very long. It’s a heavy lid. The doors need to lock tighter Aldo. Would suggest a inside lockdown near the top of the doors. Went together just great. Did it by myself, lid was a bit tough but I got it Love it, hides my trash cans ... show more

  • small issue with hole size and unclear instructions
Overall it was fairly easy to put together, took me about 1.5hr by myself. The only issue encountered was the hole on the lid hinge arm was too small for the screw supplied and I had to drill it to make it bigger. The instruction given were okay but could be better. There is one part that have you screw a piece in, only to have to undo half the screw in the next step, but things generally made sense and fits together nicely. Overall it seems sturdy, time will tell how it holds up against the socal weather. ... show more

  • Good fairly large horizontal shed/box
I bought this horizontal shed to store gardening items and such. I found that the instructions were pretty good though there were a couple of mistakes, probably from slight redesigns that were not accounted for. There were a couple of steps that were not entirely clear and had to logically figure them out. But assembly was not too bad. I used a regular screwdriver for most of the assembly as opposed to a power screwdriver as I found I sometimes needed to double check alignment and correct as I went along & was less prone to make a mistake. I installed it over a brick paver base. I found that the base needs to be almost perfectly level as the top cover and front doors may not align/close perfectly. Note that there is enough play in the doors so that that they can close as needed after assembly, so it is not a big issue even if not perfectly aligned. However, even with the nice shed floor, I would not install on a plain grass or dirt unless packed and perfectly level and not prone to settling. Overall, the shed is fairly sturdy once put together. And it does look nice. I installed a 12" wide shelf using large "L" brackets for better support underneath using stainless steel screws similar (#10 or #12) similar in size to what is supplied for the shed (silver not black color but who cares). Time will tell how long the shed lasts in the Florida sun & storms but due to the thickness of the resin and having other Suncast products, I think it should last quite a while. ... show more

  • Once together it’s nice
Nice once you put it together. Terrible directions so resorted to YouTube total time 2-3hours. Can store 2 95 gal garbage bins

  • Great Storage…AWFUL Instructions
This is my second Suncast storage, the product is sturdy, but the directions are AWFUL. Especially when you get to the roof section. The employee(s) that wrote the instructions definitely did not take their end user/customer in consideration when creating them. Lesson learned: the lifter is mounted on the inside of the bracket (h), with the nut pointing out. This info would have saved time and prevented lots of expletives. :/ ... show more

  • Not a quick and easy assembly but it sure looks good when finished!
We watched videos demonstrating assembly for each step. Definitely a two person job. But once assembled we were very pleased with appearance and roomy capacity. We are using it for yard equipment, fertilizer, garden tools and seeds. Very pleased when the last screw was inserted and everything lined up so the top closed and locked. It is a very good looking shed. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble, practical
We purchased two of these units, the first several years ago for use as a shed, and the second one recently, to store/hide our garbage and recycling containers. Most important - prepare foundation as instructed, to avoid settling. I also recommend securing shed to ground with cable. A nice-looking, no-maintenance, waterproof alternative to wood! ... show more
