It works great. The handle was a little too long for easy movement in our chicken run so we took out one section and it was perfect. Picks up what it should and our gravel filters right through. I love it

Does not work for chickens. The poop falls through because the holes are too big. It is hard to scoop without teeth on the front to go through the substrate. Even added hardware cloth to make the holes smaller and it works better to trap the poop, but I was doing a lot of work to sift it and the handle loosens and makes it difficult to work with. Spend the $50 and buy a coop scoop, it's totally worth it!
