This is a nice device to have to keep your lawn equipment batteries charged and ready to go. Easy to use and to read. The Trickle charge works like a charm, it brings it up to full charge and then it shuts off. If the battery drops below full charge it comes back on and brings it up to full charge. This little charger is fantastic! It’s a 1.75A charger that out performs my larger old trickle charger. It’s a smart unit with an easy to read display. (One thing to note: it will specifically NOT work for LiFePO4 batteries. This will NOT do the charging profile required for ONLY those batteries, But it works VERY well for AGM and standard batteries.) I bought it to use the de-sulfate feature on some old UPS batteries, but they were too far gone. However, I’ve used it on my Harley battery as a regular charger and it’s been strong and reliable. It starts out as a regular charger, then shuts off when the battery is full, then automatically goes into trickle mode as it needs to. It’s got a great feature in that it displays what it’s doing. The display toggles back and forth showing the exact volts and amps it’s putting out as well as the graphical display of the battery filling up. It’s a “set up and leave it go” thing that will shut down when the battery doesn’t need it or it will turn back on when it’s needed. Recently my truck battery was too low to turn it over so I connected this charger. I like the voltmeter display. It showed 11.2v before I plugged it into the wall. Once plugged in, this unit displayed exactly what it was doing and had me up and fully charged over night. The next day I did notice that when I moved the cord at the connection, the screen went dark. I surmised that there are broken wires in the SAE plug. I contacted the seller asking for a new SAE plug to solder on, and they wrote back overnight that they are sending me an entire new unit! What great customer service! I bought this to keep my truck battery charged up over extended periods of non-use. At first I was skeptical because it's so small and compact. I remember the days when a battery charger was the size of a breadbox, so it seemed unreal that something so small could do the same thing. For the money, this little gadget really works well and is easy to store when not in use. Pros: - The unit is no bigger than some charging blocks we have for electronics. - It charges a truck battery from nearly dead in a few hours - It has a nice long power cord, so you can run it from the battery to the inside of the car to be protected from the rain and such. - It's simple to use. Only one button to choose the charging mode (charge, repair, trickle) - Positive and negative clamps hold on securely to the battery poles, and the unit will tell you if you hook them up incorrectly. Cons: - The instructions are alright, but they don't really tell what the repair mode does. I understand what charge and trickle should do, and there's enough information about how those work, but repair is kind of vague. ... show more

It’s cheap, and it feels cheap but it does the job and it doesn’t complain. I love that it shows you the voltage and amperage that it has and shows you the charging progress. Also love the quick disconnect. One thing that kinda worried me was how it sparks when you plug it in but as long as there’s no gas fumes I figure it’ll be alright. ... show more

I wish I would’ve bought these along time ago. They have very nice features such as a shut off once the battery is charged, they trickle charge, and they have a basic standard charging feature. Incredibly easy to use and the LED screen is easy to view and understand. They are very small and do not take up much room. I ordered a two pack of these and I’m probably gonna order another two pack of them soon. ... show more

These chargers seem to be decent quality for the price. They have a cord that has rings or clamps for easy instalation. It does 6v or 12v and even has a recovery mode to extend battery life.

I bought this charger just to get me buy until I got a bigger and I thought better one. That one died and this one still works just as good as the first day I got it. I needed a charger for small 6 volt batteries and this works great. Just connect and it senses the battery voltage and charges. When done it automatically shuts off. I also tried it to top off a 12 volt battery and automatically adjusts to 12 volts and worked fine. It has other modes that may be useful but I have not used them. ... show more
