This little pump moves water very well. I use it on a commercial ice machine that has to transfer discharge water to a sink drain about 15' away - with approx. 7' of lift. As this system is being used in a small movie theater, being quiet is a must. While the pump itself is very quiet during operation, there is an audible alarm that can sound if the volume of intake water is more than the pumps output capacity. The alarm is effective at a fair distance... it gets your attention. The downside is that there is no way to disable this alarm if you are trying to keep quiet. I had to take the cover off my unit and disable the alarm by basically destroying the alarm buzzer on the circuit board. Yes, I could have sent the pump back for another unit, but needed it immediately and had to improvise. ;) Again, this is a fine little condensate/transfer pump... especially for the price. If you are looking for something that doesn't produce a loud alarm on occasion, you may want to do some more shopping.

This replaced a 38 year old unit and I wasn’t sure what to choose, there are so many different kinds! I ordered this because it looks similar but other input areas that I can run another line from my dehumidifier. It’s been installed for 2 months now and no more puddles. It’s working fine. Hoping the dehumidifier isn’t too much to add. I can’t carry the large, heavy bucket up from the basement this summer.

I have a saddle AC that stopped pumping the collected moisture out. The AC has a drain plug, so I put this right below the drain with a funnel. My AC has worked flawlessly all summer. All I had to do was pop out the plug, insert funnel, attach the hose with a zip tie, run the house out the window, and plug it in. When the tank fills it kicks on and drains it out. The hose is long enough that from my 2nd floor window I have it draining into a watering can. When full I get to re-use the water for my garden. This saved me from having to get a new AC and to keep my quiet saddle AC.
