I love the solar option on these camera. I can put them anywhere without having to take them down to charge or having an electrician wire them. Great picture and I love having the online subscription to save the videos and Al intelligence analytics.

Truthfully, this camera drives me nuts. I bought it to keep an eye on my outdoor neighbor cats in their cat house. Even with the small solar panel, the battery life has been abysmal. On numerous occasions, the battery percentage dropped nearly 20% in the 2 minutes it took me to take it off the charger and hook it up to the solar panel in the cat house. I understand the cold eats up the battery faster, but a drop from 100% to 87% within a couple of minutes is ridiculous. On top of that, I've had to recharge it every 2 days, and each charging session took 6 hours... Adjusting the solar panel angle and the winter day getting slightly longer has mildly helped, but it is still not powerful enough to maintain charge. Plugging in the solar panel or charging cable through the silicone is also impossible unless you open the silicone and stuff the cable through it before plugging it into the port. This is likely helpful with waterproofing but it's inconvenient. Furthermore, the power button is so small and cornered that it's extremely difficult to push. I have small hands and nearly broke a nail trying to power the camera on/off while charging. While charging/ plugged in, you cannot see the percentage it is charged to. You have to unplug, return to the home screen, and then go back to look at the percentage under Battery Management. Again, inconvenient. In case you want to change wifi, you have to reset and set up the entire camera from scratch. I also have not found a way to mute alerts on my phone without decreasing the sensitivity/ frequency of the camera recording such as via "Alarm Interval". Every time the motion detection is activated and starts a recording it also flashes the entire screen white. While bearable, it's also annoying especially when it happens every 10 seconds of recordings. Next, the app interface is awful. Loading recorded clips from the "Messages" list takes forever for. each. clip. It's constantly freezing, "establishing encrypted channel," "trying to reconnect" or just not loading. Clicking on a specific clip also doesn't always play that clip, but an earlier one. Good luck moving through the clips while watching one since that also freezes and restarts the loading/ encrypting connection process...slowly. It is not a smooth experience whatsoever. I have a simple outdoor camera by Tapo with a much smoother replay, it's just not wireless. The wireless option (aside from the solar panel connection) is honestly the only reason I haven't returned it. Perhaps it wasn't made for keeping an eye on pets in a small outdoor box, but I cannot reccommend this camera.
