Directions of use: Method 1 (most common relief method) Step 1: Deflate Zōk by squeezing the rubber bulb between your fingers. Step 2: While deflated, gently insert Zōk into the outer ear to create an air-tight seal between the Zōk earbud and the ear. This seal should occur just past the entrance to the ear canal—similar to the positioning of an audio earbud. Do not insert the Zōk earbud any further than the entrance to the ear canal. I purchased this device to hopefully relieve inner ear pressure when I fly or travel to higher elevations. The standard chewing (gum) and yawning don’t seem to work for me but so far I can say the Zok device has helped.

    • DANGEROUS AND DISHONEST!!!
I got the ZOK, read the instructions, watched several instructional videos, and once I got a headache, I tried it out. The first ear went fine, but while using it on the other ear, I heard a tearing sound inside my ear and felt an extremely sharp pain run down from my ear through my neck. Immediately my hearing in that ear was plugged. I was very concerned and tried to call the company to ask what I should do, but could not find a customer phone number for them anywhere. I then messaged them through Facebook Messenger with no immediate response. I then went right to a local medical facility, who thankfully squeezed me in right away. The doctor concluded that the ZOK ruptured my eardrum! I then had to go get prescription steroid/antibiotic ear drops and another another treatment to apply topically around the ear. The doctor warned against ever using the ZOK again and said to throw it away. She also said nobody should ever use anything like this in their ear. Eventually I was able to email with the owner of ZOK. I asked if there was any help available for the medical bills and any future help needed as a result of the damage the ZOK caused. He offered to send me some nutritional drinks or something, but never did. He was clearly not willing to help with my expenses his product caused. He then ignored my emails, despite me checking in a few more times. My experience proved dishonesty, lying and a lack of care for customers. A good company should take responsibility, have integrity and show care for their customers, for the damage their product has caused. I have since seen SEVERAL testimonial videos online of others having devastating results from the ZOK, with no help from the company. I also wanted to note that I have never had any ear issues prior to this. It has now been 4 months and I am still struggling with that ear still being plugged. When I got the Zok I wanted to see what it was about. I have tinnitus and high frequency hearing loss. After trying in both ears I could hear more clearly. That was cool. A couple days later I got a headache and tried it again. It worked. Just that simple. It worked.

    • Didnt work for me
Not sure if its the product or just me. Whenever i would use it, it would make me gag after a few seconds. Apparently there is a nerve in your ear that can cause that. So, Unfortunately for me i coudnt use it. I waited to long to try it so i couldnt return it .

    • Practical purchase & small price to pay
First and foremost, the printed directions need additional instructions. After reading through over a dozen reviews, it seemed that the videos to watch how to use the device was the way to go. Sure enough, it was super helpful! It did take some trial and error to get the device to stick in my ear while keeping the bulb deflated. Sometimes during a migraine, it doesn't help at all when I'm in a full-blown migraine attack. What I found works best for me is if I use it a few times while I have a headache still and not the full blown migraine. I know sometimes migraines just hit out of nowhere, but sometimes it takes time to build into one and that's when I find this device works best for me. Someone else stated, "It is not a cure all for migraines or even headaches but it certainly relieves sinus pressure" and I agree to this as well. It has also helped with my jaw tension as I have TMJ, and clench & grind my teeth 24/7, so just using this daily, has relieved a smidgen of that tension. Another post shared, " I wanted this to be like an earth shattering device that changed my life." ME TOO! It wasn't earth shattering but certainly shook my foundation a bit LOL I whole-heartedly believe it was worth the money. Even if you get relief just once, it's worth it. ... show more

    • I’d skip this one
I struggle with migraines and, like everyone here, will try anything to help. Packaged with mine was a leaflet that said “Get an extra Zok device FREE--Claim yours at [QR code]". I was excited to have another one to stick in my purse or whatever. However that link took me to a page that does not exist. When I wrote customer service they just said “unfortunately we do not have a date when we will have this offer available again.” So that felt very misleading. Not off to a great start. It took a few days after receiving the device to feel a migraine starting but as soon as I did I used the zok. I depressed the bulb and it took some maneuvering to get it to stay depressed in my ear. By the time I got an air seal it was really in there. I’ll be honest—I don’t really understand how it’s pulling out pressure if it stays depressed like the instructions say but okay, I tried it several times in each ear. It didn’t take long for my head to hurt more than ever. I tried the other method but that provided no relief, either. Like others have said, maybe this works with a pressure headache, but migraines are a different beast and this is not my miracle cure. Will be returning. ... show more
