The pictures don't show it, but this is a plugin Ceiling Fan, which is a bit odd. This ceiling fan managed to do something rare, it improved the room without becoming the entire roomโs personality. The 52 inch size works well for a bedroom or living room, and the black finish gives it a clean modern look without trying too hard. The fan blades feel solid, the light is bright enough for everyday use, and the overall build quality is better than the usual โlooks nice in the photo, feels questionable in personโ situation. It also helps that the DC motor runs quietly, so it moves air without sounding like a small aircraft warming up. Installation was fairly straightforward, especially for anyone who has dealt with ceiling fans before. The plug in setup makes it more flexible than a hardwired fan, though you still need to plan where that cord is going so it does not become part of the decor by accident. The remote worked right away, and the app control was a nice extra once it was set up. Having 6 speeds, dimmable lighting, and 3 color temperature options makes it easy to adjust for different times of day. Well, we have a bedroom ceiling fan that is starting to make some noise and this seemed like a great replacement after checking out all the pictures. Turns out that this really is a plug-in fan, which means you will need an outlet instead. Sure, we could possibly hardwire it but that generally voids the warranty and isn't always permitted by code. Once that was figured out the rest went well. The fan is packaged and organized surprisingly well, with a clear packing list and installation instructions. It is well made and everything assembled as instructed. While we ended up putting it in the basement where we had a ceiling outlet, it looks great and performs well. If you are used to the old-school 3-speed fans, you'll appreciate this 6-speed beauty. The light is dimmable and can be adjusted for color temperature for more natural lighting. Best of all, it runs very quietly and didn't have even a hint of wobble even at the highest speed. The instructions mention adding weights to the blades if needed for balance, but it was super smooth right off the bat. It includes a couple of down rod options, although I would have preferred even shorter. All in all it's a very modern fan with all the bells and whistles grandma never had with hers: 6 speeds, dimmable light with different color temperatures, remote control, and even a Bluetooth app interface to run it from your phone. We are impressed!
