I really like the lights style and look but the quality does not live up to it. It is a thin metal/plastic feeling frame with cloth shade that is glued on. Pictures make it look bigger than it actually is.

I ended up attaching a cord to the bare wires. The light really can only be used by low-wattage LED lights that do not produce any heat as the material attached to the lamp frame is truly cheap. It looks okay, but if you were to put an actual light bulb that produces heat in the socket, in my opinion, the lamp's shade would eventually burn up. Should have come as a pair. One of these is a bit...overdone and makes the area look lopsided. Would I buy it again? Not unless it was a pair and if it was more robustly made.

Since our bedroom is decorated in art deco style, this wall sconce was an absolute must-have for me. I expected it to be a bit bigger, but it worked out perfectly because it fits exactly where we wanted it to. It definitely has a serious art Deco vibe, and fits in perfectly with the rest of the room. My boyfriend installed it, and he didn't find it difficult because he's done this before, but there were no instructions in the box. Granted, there are plenty of tutorials online, but they really should have included directions specific to this sconce. This turned out to be the perfect accent for our bedroom. Now, the BAD news - The ad says it does not come with a bulb, but ours did. The bulb is so dim, I actually have night lights that are brighter than this! We took the bulb with us to the hardware store and could not find a match. I came home and looked at the specs and it said an E12 bulb will fit, so I got one. IT DOES NOT FIT. I absolutely adore this sconce, but unless I can find a bulb that actually fits and is bright enough to see by, I'm going to have to downgrade this item a lot. I will update this review when I solve - or discover I can't solve - the bulb issue. UPDATE: I have to give this a massive downgrade based on the fact I cannot find a replacement light bulb! This is not an E12 as listed! It is also not an E14 which is a European size. There is literally not a light bulb in the United States that I can locate that fits this thing. I am beyond super disappointed.

I love the look of this, an old theater style light/art deco style but looks are all its got. The frame is metal and the back is lined with plastic, the kind that with heat I believe would discolor and crack, with a linen on the front thats what you see. It only mounts by you hanging it on the lip of the frame and that isn't meant to attach to a J box but just screw to a wall. It came with a bulb, the shade and the base plate but nothing else, no screws or hardware. This is a great idea and an amazing looking light but its more like a knock off of what you'd get out of a cereal box prize mimicking what the real one would be. The base bugs me the most, not clear way to attach it and no instructions in the box. There is no ground wire, no way to secure the shade to the frame so it you have little kids or accidentally knock it off you have pointy metal falling down on you. 8 metal points on this thing to poke or take out an eye. I was really hoping for this to be better, was going to get several more and use like theater lighting but these just are not real safe or heavy duty lights I would trust long term or with running 120v through. I see someone else wired this to a battery, I think thats the only thing you could do safely with this, run off an LED and battery, maybe I'll end up trying that. I really wanted to like this, but sadly, this was a disappointment in so many ways. I would not dare to provide AC current to this fixture, no matter how low wattage a bulb you used. This is the type of hazardous item which Underwriters Laboratories and Electrical Testing Laboratory were created to keep off the market. I love the Art Deco style, but the workmanship here is as bad as the designers disregard for basic safety. The 'linen' shade is backed by plastic, sloppily cut and glued to the metal shade. It is not even nice enough to use as an unlit wall decoration.
