  • Noise Maker After A While...
March 20, 2021, is when I bought this frame, and now I have replaced it on July 23, 2023. At first impressions, it was simple and sturdy, holding our weight (570Ibs) pretty well; however, over time, the screws came loose, making a lot of noise no matter what; I tightened them once or twice, but they would still come loose over time and exact results of noise. At some point, one of the boards made a cracking sound when he got in bed, but it didn't break. With time the slats all started to bend on his side of the bed too. Assembly was all right; I did it alone, and taking it apart was easy too, but I used our tools instead of the tools the bed frame came with. Overall, it's okay for the price, but with the frame making the noise and being easily shifted across my floor, I was ready to get a nicer bed frame. ... show more

  • Using my method, you can easily set up by yourself. Even with 2, I’d suggest following my method.
Size: California King Style: 14 Inch
This will be my first night on this frame, and I haven’t really “tested” it yet. But, all in all I’m pretty happy with it. Two people may make it easier, but I did it alone in about 45 minutes. 5 of that was waking to and from the garage to get a wrench after the little poc “wrench”, that comes with the kit, bent. I’ve been a mechanic for over 20 years, but you don’t need a whole lot of aptitude to do this alone. I’ll run you thru some tips to make it easier... 1. Get a 13mm and a 10mm box end wrench. Don’t use that poc it comes with. The Allen key it comes with is fine. It’s nice and short so you shouldn’t accidentally over torque a bolt. Also get a tape measure, at least 12ft, so you can square it before tightening the hardware fully. 2. After opening the box, inventory everything and make sure you have all the pieces. 3. Lay out pieces A, B, C, D, and both E’s, in the middle of the room. The side rails (E) swing out to extend. One side is straight, one side is tapered. Extend the straight side first, then the tapered side. 4. With everything laying flat on the floor, install A-D onto E. Some of the holes are drilled very well, so make sure you can get 2-3 threads going by hand. This soft Chinese metal can strip out really easy. Get all the bolts loosely installed. Flush, but with a little wiggle. Don’t worry, you’ll tighten these up later. 5. The head and foot rails (F) extend just like the sides. Here’s where you can make it easy with one person.... place the rails in position and fully extend the ends with the non-tapered joint. And make sure they’re both pointing to the left (as you are looking at the bed). Stand up the left (E) rail and lean it against (F). Now, let the tapered ends of (F) (the right sides) hang to to floor and act as supports. Make sure you get both bolts thru before installing the nuts. DO NOT fully tighten at this time. Snug, but a little wiggle. Once that’s done, stand up the right rail (E) and attach it the same way. Snug nuts, but leave some wiggle room. 6. Put the main support (G) in position and get all the bolts thru the holes then loosely install the nuts. 7. Now, here’s where the tape measure comes into play, and why you left some wiggle to the hardware. Measure diagonally from corner to corner. If the measurements are the same, you’re square and you can start tightening all the hardware. Start with legs A-D, then do the nuts on F. Make sure you DO NOT over torque the hardware or it will snap. German torque it, as we used to say. Gütentight. If your measurements from corner to corner are not equal, then adjust the bed by shifting the bottom rail left or right until the measurement are equal. Once equal, tighten as previously discussed. 8. With the rails secured, tighten the nuts holding the main support (G) in place. I purposely over torque these a little in order to recess the button heads below the side rails. Don’t go to far, but getting them flush with the E rails should help prevent some mattress wear. 9. Get the frame in place where you want it. It gets heavy with the wood slats. Once in place, install the wood slats. Note: the slats are about a 1/2 inch shorter than the width between brackets. So I tried to center them the best I could. 10. Now it’s time to place you fun pad on the frame. This is where two people can be useful. BE CAREFUL. The corners are sharp and if you drag your mattress across them, you’ll likely tear it! So... if you just have yourself, take some of the cardboard from the packaging and place over the corners as you slide your mattress into position. One thing I really noticed and liked about this bed in the wood slats are very smooth, which makes placing the bed very easy without snagging the mattress. Final note... I will be ordering some black pool noodles to wrap around at least 4 of the 6 legs. The first thing I did after setting this up was stub a toe on an angle and it flipping hurt! So, I’m going to wrap a black noodle around the legs and secure with a couple black zip ties. ... show more

  • Just what I hoped for!
Size: Queen Style: 14 Inch
Everything was what the description quoted. Delivery time was excessive, but the quality is sufficient and ease of construction was reasonably efficient with the exception of screwing in the “leg” bolts. I did use the tools provided because I didnt have anything else available, but the assembly would have been quicker otherwise. I assembled the frame by myself and it took about 45 minutes. ... show more

  • Well made product. Hard to move.
Size: Full Style: 14 Inch
Overall, I am pleased with the product. Set-up was fairly uncomplicated. The only drawback I have experienced is if you need to slide the bed to clean the floor underneath, ir if you choose to re-arrange the room, you need to remove the mattress or risk the frame, particularly the center support post leaning or getting all wonky. ... show more

  • Great bed frame would have rated 4.5 stars if I could
Size: Queen Style: 14 Inch
This bed fame is very sturdy from what I can tell two weeks in. I have no problems with it as of yet. the outer frame is sturdy, and holds my Queen size bed really well. There is no rocking or moment in it what so ever, and it is super quiet. I also love that they give you 2 extra bolts in case one gets lost or breaks. Unlike other reviews I have read on other products I have no fear of my frame falling apart. I also like the plywood slats at least i am assuming that is what they are, but they seem nice, rigid, and light weight. As for the "bad" and I say that super loosely. the inner tan metal part that holds the wood is very thin square metal tubing and crumpled when I tightened down the nut and bolt that came with the frame. It does its job but I would recommend putting some kind of spacer in there to keep it from being crushed. I will say this that I didn't over tighten the bolts super tight to mess up the threads, so the only conclusion i come to is the part is thin metal, and again could use a insert or spacer to keep the square tube true. the only other thing is the wooden slats are pretty loose so I recommend fitting them in and adding a small piece of electrical tape if you want them to fit in snug. I only used 1 small piece per side and they are snug and don't move around unless I pull them out, but if you do my mod be sure not to use to much where it becomes to tight. honestly I think it would be fine on its own but I don't know I just feel better with them firmly held in place. Oh almost forgot there was a hole on one of the legs that was slightly off from the frame where it took a lot more force to put it in properly. It almost felt like it was cross threaded but wasn't, so when I was turning the screw it just took more force. It wasn't a problem luckily, but it really could have been if it was off any more than it was. In closing if you are looking for a bed frame with lots of storage space I would highly recommend this product. I believe this product will last a long time to come, and is the best one I found here on Amazon. ... show more
