I just finished putting this bed together and I am so impressed! Assembly was easier than I expected.. it took me about 3 hours solo and it came out looking amazing. The instructions were straightforward and everything lined up perfectly. The material is really nice, soft, sturdy, and looks way more expensive than it is. The tufting is well done and holds its shape. The slat system feels solid and supportive, no wobbling or creaking at all. It’s bigger and longer than her old bed and she was so excited when she saw the finished product. The cream color is gorgeous and photographs beautifully. Delivery was on time which was a plus! We’ve had this frame for about a week now and we love it. It’s exactly as described and very sturdy once assembled. My husband and I are both bigger people and when I first saw the slats, I was a little nervous but it’s super comfy and quiet. It took my husband about 2.5 hours to assemble. We have a 10in mattress with a mattress topper and no box spring and the headboard is still nice and tall. A little flimsy but with all screws in place it's pretty sturdy! Not bad for the price! I do wish the headboard and footboard were higher! All screws aligned with the holes with the exception of one going into the headboard. With this bed you do not need box springs however, my old bed had box springs so I decided to use them anyway to make my bed high off the floor! really impressed with the quality and appearance. The tufted fabric looks even better in person—soft, plush, and very well-finished. The sleigh-style design on both the headboard and footboard gives the room a classy, high-end feel. Assembly took a little time because of the size, but the instructions were clear and everything fit together securely. I’ve always wanted a luxurious bed. I went back and forth on a few different frames and landed on this one, mostly because of the shape and overall profile. I was really hesitant due to the reviews of broken pieces and the fact that it’s not a true black, but I took the chance. It came in a reasonable amount of time, with all the pieces, and nothing broken or damaged. A couple friends and I put it together easily and without incident. I ordered a 10” memory foam mattress to go with it and got rid of my box springs, because I wanted more of a feeling of height on the headboard. There is a small gap between the tufted part of the headboard and the top of the mattress, but it is solid (there are no holes or gaps in the headboard), and once I put my pillows on, it’s not noticeable. Everything is pretty sturdy feeling, except I don’t trust putting too much weight on the footboard (and it is ever so tempting to sit on), not that I feel it would break, but just wear and weaken the connections and the material over time. It’s not much of an issue, just something to keep in mind Like other reviews have said, it does appear navy in certain lighting conditions and next to certain colors, which does drive my dark-loving heart a tiny bit crazy, but the velvet gives it enough dimension and the pros of this frame have FAR outweighed that small issue. I have a bit of a dark past when it comes to my sleeping space, but this bed frame has really impacted me and provided me with so much healing, joy, and comfort. I truly feel like royalty and have noticed that I spend more time in my bed overall. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

I’m giving this bed 1 star. I ordered the California King and it does not fit my King mattress. I was replacing a King for Cali King because I wanted more space with bedding. We took our old bed apart and started putting this one together only to find that it was not as wide as the original bed when we stood the new headboard against the old one. We measured and checked the box to see if we needed to put the entire thing together. It’s too small! I’m mad now because we have to take it apart and re-put the old bed back together. Buy local!! Too much work when it doesn’t fit. Pics and video attached to my review! Oh yeah it’s very light weight. We were going from solid wood to be more up to date. I’ll keep what I have for this and the hassle. The company is not easy to work with. They closed my case and said the entire bed is California king including the wings on the headboard. The wings should not be included in the size if you’re buying California king bed and mattress’s. The wings on the headboard should simply make the headboard wider. And I only have king size mattress’s to start with, which do not fit. ... show more
