We are very pleased with this bunk bed set. We looked at a lot of different beds but we just really liked how this one looked. The stairs with bookshelves is very nice. Overall quality is very good. Much better than other flat packed furniture I've assembled in the past. It's made from real wood and not particle board. The hardware included was also better quality than most. I was quite impressed. There was only one defect I found. A board wasn't fully drilled. I was able to drill it myself. So it wasn't a big problem. But that being said this has a lot of parts. It's a fairly intense assembly process. It comes in three large boxes. So be prepared for that. My experience was good overall. My family really likes the bed. Very nice bunk beds for the price. Fairly easy to put together except when attaching the steps. The holes didn’t align and steps could be a bit sturdier. Storage drawer under bed is a big bonus to hold toys!

Instructions are very bad and hard to interpret for assembly. Only the most experienced builder should attempt this product. I had to redo multiple subassemblies to get them correct. Also, some of the holes align poorly. The side staircase is structurally weak with embedded nuts pulling out of the wood. I had to add additional screws to make the staircase safe. It is easy to make mistakes when assembling. After the first attempt I tried to make sure I was doing each subassembly correctly, but I still did some incorrectly and I have built lots of furniture kits over the years. Also, there were a few missing bolts. The upper bunk is held in place by 4 wooden pins and gravity. The steps are the only place the upper bunk is attached to the lower bunk with screws. Safety is suspect. Some of the part quality was poor. They rate the product for 400lbs but I wouldn't trust more than 200lbs. I added 'L' brackets to better secure the upper and lower bunks together. ... show more

This bed came in three huge heavy boxes . The bed itself is very nice and looks great once’s it’s done. There are tons of pieces and at times the instructions threw me off. But once I slowed down and took my time it was simple. This project took me about 5-6 hours. I did it all with the help of my 10 yr old son! The bed is super pretty and I ordered this for my kids as a replacement to their trundle bed they had. It was estimated to arrive between July 29-Aug 9 as it was shipping from Brazil, but came a week after I ordered and was surprised. Right off the bat, there was a lot of paint chipped, wood chipped, and parts that were longer or shorter than others. This was THE BIGGEST pain to put together. The instructions made no sense and we were short a TON of screws. All of the pre-drilled holes that the manufacturer had placed were pretty much all misaligned, and the pieces weren’t all labeled, making it that much harder to put together. It literally took all day (11am-7:30pm) for my husband to put together, and he is incredibly skilled and handy at these kinds of things. The stairs were probably the worst to put together and overall the bed feels like it won’t last long. Poor craftsmanship all around. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is when I contacted the seller to cancel my order as I found a different bed, they said they couldn’t cancel the order but offered me a $30 refund for the trouble. ... show more

Although 'eventually' the vendor made my purchase tolerable - I simply cannot give more than 2 stars. First order was missing parts - they wanted me to pay over $200 to ship it back - after I had already paid over $200 to buy it - then they wanted another $200 to ship the replacement - I wrote a 1 star review - they immediately called me - shipped the replacement at no charge (which they should have done the first time) - and I had 3 (yes 3) qualified people assemble it (for my great-granddaughters) - very challenging to assemble. Looks okay, but I'm reserving judgement until they have used it for a while. Sorry I cannot provide a better rating. But you get what you get. ... show more
