Read multiple reviews saying the holes for screws didn't line up. I did have the same problem while attaching the sides of the headboard to the headboard itself, but made it work. I still gave this item four stars, because despite this problem the rest of the build was easy and straight forward. The bed itself is beautiful and came in perfect condition. No scratches in the velvet or anything. The bed is very sturdy once everything is put together and your mattress is in the frame. My 2 and 6 year old were jumping all over the bed as soon as the mattress was in the frame and the frame didn't move at all. I have a 14" mattress and it fits perfect. You can see about 1 inch of the smooth base before the tufted part starts. I saw reviews complaining that the bed was much shorter than they thought, but it does measure the 51" height claimed in the images. Just be sure to measure 51", so you know how tall the headboard will be in your room. I love it and would buy again! ... show more

Assembly was easy for one person. Quality excellent, better than I expected. Only con is that the foot board is shorter than expected. This actually worked out because it keeps the room looking more spacious. Great purchase for the price.

This bed is good looking for the money! It’s delicate and it has no defects. It is a cheap frame so you cannot expect the thick upholstered footboards or headboards and all those expensive details from some beds at furniture stores, but you should know that based on its price. One thing to notice is that neither the headboard or footboard height come up as in the photos. They may not put a mattress to take those photos because a normal mattress sitting on those slats or with a box spring would end up at the same level than the footboard (and half way into the headboard) which makes it feel much smaller than shown.
